1) We may wait few turns to see what will happend. I belive greeks will drive China to the sea, but will not take their Island City. Currency will be even cheaper in this case. Another reason for delay is that i have no idea what research next? Engineering?
Alright, let's wait a couple of turns, if Currency will be cheaper in case China is lfet with only 1 city.
The point is that, all the other Civs(except Greece for the time being), are now researching an MA tech: we wouldn't want to fall behind in the tech race.
If we could claim the Iron, I'd say to research towards Chivalry, a bit later, but as things are, I'm not sure.
We WOULD want to research towards Invention in the case we cannot have the Iron(longbows): we HAVE to take on Greece at some point, and the thing is that, ALL Civs have ONLY 1 source of Iron, so we cannot even trade for it!!!
We should build a gazillion archers to upgrade them, once we learn Invention...
On the other hand, we also want to build Copernicus Observatory to trigger our Golden Age, so we need to trade(or research) for Astronomy.
I STROGLY suggest to research Engineering OR even Currency(now) with a single scientist at New York: when we'll trade for Currency, our gpt will suffer even more, and we'll have to raise the lux soon, when our cities will grow. We also want to maintain more units. 10% science is not helping at this point.

4) I am affraid that greeks will declare us soon anyway.
If China's capital will fell within the next few turns, we stand almost no chance of claiming the Iron, anyway, since it'll build temples and libraries in the 2 cities nearby of the Iron: their terrain is already improved.
So, the Team doesn't want to try for the Iron? Maybe Greece will tolerate us if we cave in it's demands, at least, until we build some knights... We can only hope...

5) it is hard question. I think eveybody should discuss it.
IMHO, we should claim the territory there: we'll have more luxuries to trade for techs, and besides, WHY leave it to Greece to make them even more stronger? They'll trade with these dyes also.
If we'll not go after the Iron, then we should settle there with the next settler.

Main thing to deside: will we cave to Grees or not?
IMHO, YES, we should cave: we cannot face any attack from Greece right now. If we build plenty of archers, then, we could say no, but don't forget that Greece will also have swords and Frankish Axemen very soon(both require Iron).

6)Sure. No peace with Japan until MA expires. note, that they have some fleet and capture Lutecia (rome) already.
Boston may be their next target. Anyhow we must build archers to claim more at peace treaty. (Lutecia?)
Ok, I'll build mainly archers: other cities could build some spears later on.

one more Wonder. will we continue GW in Boston or will try to get HG? HG much better, but I prefer to get GW for sure.
Let's go for the GW, BUT, we should make sure that we'll get Copernicus, in that case.

Re: ps Lets wait 24 hours before Adrian reply. hope he will not take my moves as offence.
Ivan.
I admit that I couldn't have traded so brilliant myself, as you did. That's where I need to improve to be more "balanced" at the higher levels. IMHO, your move helped our Team MUCH(don't forget: this is a competition), so, I think Adrian also realized that.
Another thing: IMHO, we SHOULD make a second gems colony, to trade with Greece! It'll reduce the chances of them to attack us MUCH.
P.S.: we certainly have to decide for some things, before continuing playing.
