SGOTM8 - Xteam

Hope everything's ok with Nemesis, too. :wavey:
Yes, I hope Nemesis is OK as well. I have not heard from him so I think I should declare a skip. :hmm: So, the roster now looks like:

Gator - UP
Bluebox - On Deck
Leif
Willow
Capt.
Nemesis - Skipped

This does bring up a question I would like to ask the team. I have been flexible on the times of 24 hours and 72 hours because everyone has always been so good about taking thier turns. Is this OK with everyone or do you want me to be a little stricter with the schedule? [pimp]

Thanks for your patience. :D

EDIT - BTW - Sorry I didn't get this posted earlier. I finally changed from dial-up to DSL and when I changed my email address in the User CP, it locked me out and Thunderfall had to come to my rescue.
A BIG Thank You to Thunderfall!!

Nemesis' profile indicates that he hasn't been online sincethe 24th.

I've got it, I should be able to play tomorrow night.

As long as we're getting a progress report I think we can continue to be flexible. If you know your schedule won't allow you to play in a reasonable time then just ask to be swapped.

For example, my work schedule for the next couple weeks (until the 9/12) will be hectic and I may not be online everyday. If I can't play my turnset tomorrow I'll need to swap as we have budget board workshops scheduled for Monday & Tuesday night to allow for public input.

Besides this gave us a chance to spam up the thread ;)

I just checked out the Progress Page and Team Durtz has played the same number of turns as us and a number of teams are only a few turnsets in front of us. So we're not falling too far behind the pace.

Thanks for pointing this out. When I wrote that I was thinking more of this:

We've already lost the flow of our game by now. We should better  to regain the stream of thought and :king: . I think strategic planning for upcoming turns was very good so far :goodjob:
Bluebox does make a good point concerning the flow of the game. But between summer schedules and gearing up for a return to "normalcy" with schools starting, etc., I didn't see any reason with so faithful a group of players to worry too much about it.

After all, we are supposed to be having fun! :band:  [party]

And you're right about the spam. We are third in overall posts, way over a hundred behind Cutlry and about 100 behind Wacken. You can tell D-Man is on Wacken as their post count has skyrocketed since he joined. :goodjob:

We are second according to posts per turn on the summary page. So playing a little less and writing a little more is the perscription.

Reading your thread has been much more enlightening though

Edit:

Oh yeah here's another good smilie for ya

Thanks Mistfit, this is encouraging!!

I love these smilies. Of course, if I had too many, I would never post because I couldn't decide which to use!! :D

Go Gator!! :hatsoff:

Kind of dead around here? ;)

I was bored and clicking around on things I usually ignore. I found (edit - removed the link, please see description below  ) an interesting feature of the threads.

Now you can tell just how bored I was!!

EDIT - Well, that link didn't work out very well. So, I'll describe it instead. If you click on the number in the replies column, the site will tell you who posted how many times in each thread. Sort of cool. BTW - the link above just takes you back to the main thread of SGOTM, not fun.

And with this double post, I'll claim it all my own. I'm trying to keep up with Tubby over in the Cutlery thread. :mischief: ;) :D

I'm unsure whether this means we should swap. Do you think you can play on Wednesday? If not, should we swap you and Bluebox?

The reason I ask is that if you have played some portion of the turn set, we should include that in the result, imho. So, I don't know where you are?

What do you mean impending doom?? :mischief: You have created opportunity. While at first I wasn't sure of that, our discussion after your turn set convinced me of it.

Let Greece and China exhaust themselves on each other, get Greece's golden age out of the way while we build our military using Chinese horses and then we strike. Time to take advantage of them!!
