Too bad we can build them for this SGOTM?? How many Horsies fit in a Gator?

I will plan to revolt to get to Republic. Should a leader emerge, I will most likely stop and ask what we think we should do with it.

Near as I can figure, there are about 275 land tiles on our continent and, iirc, coastal tiles count towards domination.
That adds a lot more tiles to the count. If I have time, and am really boredAlanH said:The territory graph shows total tiles within your borders - land, coast, sea and ocean.
, I might have to go back and do a recount. There are a lot of coast and sea tiles around, depending upon your city placement and cultural expansions, that could be included in the count.

We are at peace with all our neighbors and the Vikings are located somewhere to the south of the English island, but no contact yet.

Actually looks like you are tied in first spot for territory in 150BC of all the teamsleif erikson said:EDIT - BTW, check that territory graph. Our line looks like a little head raised in defiance, if you only count the classic teams.![]()

Well, I hope your 1000th post is a memorable one. I remember thinking about what I wanted to do and ended up so into a SGOTM discussion with Alan, I forgot what number I was at and posted something else. I've been working on a little game for my 1000th post
I really dislike going against hoppies with horses. We need a huge amount of horses, cause I don't believe the RNG will favour us...
I agree on the greed plan. Combine that with a palace jump or two and we might win this before the IA![]()
That is why I have using Offa's city capture simulation. With 30 Horses, I think we can take Athens. Whether we can hold it?
We are strong compared to them and I saw about 7 or 8 offensive units floating around, how many Hoppies are there? Buying an embassy in Athens will tell us.
To wait means too much lost time in the competition, imho.
From my perspective, it is a calculated risk and one essential to getting the greed plan set up and cooking, even better if a leader emerges.

Durkz is only 10 behind, but your right, we just pulled even.DJMGator13 said:But Durtz is just about even with us while being 20 turns behind us.
@leif - the Gator game was great. Offense still has a long way to go to learn the new system but the defense looked good.
Do we have enough to take Athens?

I'm not sure the 1000th post itself will actually be so memorable, but I think the game is

) Since we have this time, I'll just pose two questions that I want input on from as many team members as possible:
: We need at least Engineering and Chivalry for bridges, forestry, and knights. I'm a little bit undecided how to get it. Maybe we should keep on research for a while. Other means to aquire this tech a bound to luck. 15 turns might be a reasonable time to still be able to trade it when we have it. We should try and get MONO from the Greeks by pointy stick and trade both for Feudalism instead.WillowBrook said:1. Should we research engineering or not?
We don't need a dual-core continent, we need a distributed system on multiple continentsWillowBrook said:2. Should we continue to build courthouses in the towns between Washington and Old China? If not, what should we build?
. That means we'll have a single core on our main island most of the time. So we don't need Courthouses everywhere in the moment, only where corruption is reasonably low. St.Louis can produce 2 uncorrupted shields out of 5, Buffalo still keeps producing 1 out of 7. Thus, to me, St.Louis is the border of the moderate corruption area. Except from Buffalo and maybe Miami I'd refrain building CH in the northern region.
