Sharp drop in the number of miracles

Wow, this is all great stuff. Every time I type an answer, I can't wait for the responses! Seriously, I love this!

However (and this is not any form of cop out or stall for time), I am headed out of town for a long weekend. It is late now and I don't have the time to get to this since I am leaving early in the morning. I will get back with the thread on Tuesday.

Can anyone hold down the fort for me while I am gone?

What makes KJV's version the only true one in your eyes?

Okay, so I couldn't resist answering just one question.

I never said that the KJV was the only true Bible. If I implied that, I did not mean to. There are several solid translations.

What I meant was, given there are different type of Bible in use by various religious groups, some of them a lot older than Protestants, and thus hardly qualifying as "cults" or "sects", what makes you think the Protestant's version of the Bible is the right one ? And how do you explain that if the Bible is the Word of God, 100% perfect and accurate, there are different versions of it ?

I've asked this question numerous time in all the Bible threads in this forum, and I have never, ever gotten an answer.
I've never gotten an answer as to what was the message God delivered in the Song of Solomon, too.

It's difficult living in an entirely different timezone :)

Marlos, give me a definition of evil to work with. How does "evil" difer from "cold, heartless"? Is God both cold and heartless, yet still good?

If he is all powerful he could and should come up with a way to prevent evil, and maintain free will. Finally, you keep saying "man" refering to "humanity". Let's consider individual man. What is individual man (me, you) to blame for for the sins of others who happend to have a couple of genes in common?

You know how in different hemispheres of the planet, when you flush the toilet, it swirls down the drain in different directions? To gods perpective, what we call good and evil are like that. Nothing good or bad about either, just a simple manifestation of how the world works.

But that would mean there would be no good and evil, which Christians (in this case Marlos) deny.

You do know that's an urban myth?
Dammit, I didnt know that! Oh well, but you know what I mean. Lets forget toliets then. To god, good and evil are like night and day. Both have their reasons for being based on the laws of the universe and its we who ascribe certain qualities to them. To god IMO, its all One.

This doesn't explain why good Christians should reject "evil". I think you are confusing Christianity with Zoroastrism (who do claim God has the two opposing natures).

Aphex well when it comes to Christians, they get their opinions about this from the bible and thats about it. They can only think about this sort of thing within the box of Judeo-Christianity. Im not that familiar with Zorastrianism, but to me its more like we humans are the ones with two natures, not god. To god its literally All One.

I don't disagree here.
