In my mod my age of sail ships for Europe and the Americans runs as follows:

Galley(Transport Ship).....Cog....Caravel....Galleon

Trireme(War Ship).....Galleass.....Late Galleass.....Frigate

Quinarareme(Heavy Warship).....Heavy Galleass.....Ship of the Line

Due to all of the asian ships that Aaglo has kindly supplied us, I would like to implement a unique line of ships for the Asian civs.

Heres what I have so far:

Kublai.....Baode

Junk....War Junk....Tongkang

War Tiger

What I'd like to implement:

Kublai.....Transport Junk.....Gunpowder Transport Junk.....Baode

Junk....War Junk(Aaglos new junk with gunpowder attack).....Heavy War Junk(Aaglo's older junk he just uploaded as part of the pack).....Tongkang

Now heres the problem, of the other Asian ships avalible(minus the Turtleship), what would a good heavy warship line for asia look like? What should I use of the remaining ships Aaglo made?

The "Ataka Bune" ship that Aaglo made is a primary battleship of the daimyo during Japan's Sengoku period. After Toyotomi Hideyoshi unified Japan, the "Ataka Bune" was used in the assault on Korea (and were eventually crushed by the much more advanced Korean "Kobukson" ;) ). That ship also greatly resembles the Korean "P'anokson" (which was also built and in service to the Choson Dynasty's royal fleet around the same time as well) and partially resembles Chinese "destroyers" so it could be used for all three civilizations. The "Tekkousen" Aaglo made was an iron-armored ship used in Oda Nobunaga's navy. It's not a true ironclad, though. The "Kobukson" was the first (as it was completely armored). :)

The "War Tiger" was built in the Song Dynasty so it should be in the unit line before the "Treasure Ship." I'm not sure how long "Castle Ships" saw action and they were largely unique to China. The only non-Chinese ship that could be considered a "Castle Ship" was the Japanese "Nihon Maru" built in 1591, much, much later than the type of "Castle Ship" unit we have here at CFC, which is based on the Sui Dynasty model. :)

For poor people like me not expert in Chinese dynasty, could you post a list of the different asian ships available, with the centuries in which they were used?

Here is a listing of the ship units we have and CFC and the eras they were used:

Chinese Ships

Castle Ship - I'm not entirely sure about how long these ships were in service, but these types of ships saw action in the Han Dynasty (206 BCE - 220 CE) and there were variants in the Sui Dynasty (580-618 CE) as well

Junk - used throughout much of Chinese history

Baode Luan - used in Zheng He's voyages (1405-1433 CE)

War Junk (could be used as a cannon-bearing "Fuchuan" warship) - used in the Yuan to the Ming Dynasties (1271-1644 CE)

Japanese Ships

Ataka Bune (primary warships of the Sengoku period) - Sengoku Jidai (1467-1600 CE)

Tekkousen (armored warship utilized by Oda Nobunaga) - 1576 CE

Korean Ships

"Kublai Ship" (actually a Koryo Dynasty ship derived from Song Dynasty style) - Kublai Khan's reign (1215-1294 CE)

"Kobukson" (Turtle Ship) - used in the Choson Dynasty 1392-1910 CE; the "ironclad" kobukson was developed by Admiral Yi in 1592

Be sure to include K´obukson, Panokson and other "ironclads"... it would be nice, slow ships with lots of attck power.
Has anyone made a non-AOE Panok´son?
