Last turn I made 2900c worth of purchases, and then spent 1800c to connect to Dallas, leaving me with 1300c left, plus any income.

Perhaps you meant to write 1800 credits, or 2800 credits... or 8100 credits . Or did I really have a 500c loss last turn?
