Are we talking about American sign language, British sign language, or some other sign language?

Which one are you suggesting should be considered foreign - and to whom?

I always found the foreign language requirement of come uni/colleges to be a crap requirement anyway. Most people take a semester of it to meet the requirement and then promptly proceed to forget every bit that they learned. Worthless.

So, why not consider sign language as a foreign language for the purposes of college credit. It makes just as much sense as any other requirement.

Well it's pretty hard to learn a language if you don't try to use it.
