Around half of all content in Off-Topic is US related and of little relevance to the rest of the world.

The last thing the OT needs now is more decentralization. So no.

(also, what could you guys possibly talk about without us :D)

This!

There is no need to split OT even further.

Whats next? A UK or European specific OT sub-forum?!

Just have a quote warriors forum, problem solved. Make sure the quote warriors can only post in that forum.

This is a majority American board and therefore we will talk about American things.

Sometimes I get tired of certain topics getting buried by Republicans-gone-wild threads or wotnot.

So do I, in all honesty (said as a private member, not with my moderator's hat on). There are lots of other things going on in the world - for example, Canada's government may fall this week. I wouldn't mind seeing some discussion on that, if anyone wants to post it.

Most threads de-rail into American Politics, so it would be lots of work for Moderators.

A US-themed forum= a Political forum mostly, if not utterly.
And as much as i dislike the political threads in OT, they form a very large part of that forum and i am not sure if separation from them would leave OT viable.

I think it would be a good idea to have a "Debate" forum where people could schedule one on one (Or two on two) debates where they would debate a certain topic between those two posters.
