I suppose if you wish to visualize yourself as the man, but really that's for those who lack enough imagination to put themsleves in place of (or as) one of the women.

There, now that I got that out, I think any type of person to person interaction really should be refrained from being shown, in the context of what is being posted in the babe thread. So two people sitting across a chess board probably won't show up there, but two people grabbing "things" on each other might, and that shouldn't be there. Eran makes a good point about "artificiality" and that really shouldn't be there, but if someone posts a pic of themself holding their girlfriends hand that wouldn't be bad, but again, that doesn't show up too much IIRC, but even if it is someone real with a girlfriend or such, find a different pic. Those artificial pic are made that way especially for a purpose which Perf so ably expresses. Things I've seen on TV have really surprized me how much I do not like them. I especially remember all the news pics about the Miss America that Trump gave a second chance, or one of them, showing her licking the other girls face. Was she doing that because they were enjoying it or was she being exposed to those images causing her to imitate them? I have a hard time believing that every woman feels like kissing another woman in a sexual way is ok. I know I wouldn't kiss a man in that way, why would a woman want to do it? Therefore, to sum this up that has probably confused more that explained, I am against anyone kissing in the babe thread. It's not censorship because they can post the pics anywhere else that they'll let them just not on civfanatics.

To those of you against babe threads, I understand why you are against it. Poly didn't have from (I don't know the exact date. I think it was in 2005 and to help with the server overloads from civ4. Then the mods decided not to bring them back.) to earlier this year. I was against babe threads. After the ban was lifted, I relized that it was better to have the babe threads since people would have a place for porn to be posted. There wasn't anyone saying "Let's turn this thread into babe thread" in any threads with the slightest connection to babes/porn then there would be a few posts of porn until Ming or rah (Poly's OT mods) showed up. So what do you prefer, porn being limited to one thread or to almost any random thread you click on the OT?
Meh...it's no big deal if the pictures were restricted in this sense. Not like you couldn't be inspired to go find it outside the thread and forum afterwards.
