i've never played this type of MP game before but does it matter that there isnt a cap on amout of players per team? i mean, cant we keep it balanced? i dont know how much difference it would make but 12 (or less) vs. 17 (or more) seems a little onesided lol.

You don't really get much more benefit from having 17 people than 12 though... It is not like you can do more things with more people. So i don't think there is a problem not having cap on the teams. However with more people it is higher chance of your voice getting drowened out in the discussion, so it is more like it is worse being on a very large team rather than better... Probably not all are going to participate activelly in the discussion anyways.

Since the username is underlined on the left hand column, it's hard to me to tell/remember at first glance if there is an underscore or not (for all users).

Yeah, they should make the underscore much easier to see, but that is not really for here, but for Site feedback.
