OMGUS: Stands for "Oh My God U Suck", refers to voting someone for the sole reason that they voted you. Generally seen as scummy.

In all honesty, it's generally only of trivial scumminess.

I propose we begin building the catapult.

So... here's what I see. "Uh oh, I did something suspicious and people are calling me on it..... better abandon that vote and join a bandwagon."

From an OMGUS vote... to a bandwagon vote... with no reasoning for the switch other than him seeing that OMGUS is suspicious... If he really thought I should be lynched, why didn't he vote for me to begin with? Nothing changed regarding me in between his original vote and his vote for me, so the only reason I can see for voting me is that everyone else is doing it.

Hi-diddeley-ho, neighbours. I think a picnic-erino sounds like the Lord's work. [B,]Jail: paulwhoisaghost[/B] - he's like a blabbermouth who ruins a movie by telling you how it ends.

First things first.... Bruce Willis is a ghost.


Next on the agenda... Obviously a lot of people didn't like my post last Night... tough titties to you. I'm not gonna claim that it's because of me that no one died on Night 1, but it was my goal... and no one died...

Here was my thought process...

Personally, I suspect Takhisis is town. So I wanted to do what I could to keep him around for awhile longer. As an active poster, I thought that he was potentially a target for the scum NK. As well as for the reasons I posted in that same post. So I figured, what better way to deter the scum from killing him, then by suggesting they do it? It creates a ton of WiFoM for them to deal with. Do they kill him to make me look bad? Will the doc be protecting him now? Could I be a watcher, challenging them to attack someone with the intention of seeing who it was that attacked him? A whole lot of questions pop up and it becomes a huge hassle for them. Even more important though, it pisses them off... because instead of them just being able to decide amongst themselves who to kill, now I've given them a whole new mess to consider. As scum, I know what I would do in that situation... either kill the person who put them in the situation, or get them lynched the next Day. (I was prepared and planned for either.)

See here is the thing. In addition to providing some WiFoM in the hopes of keeping Takhisis alive, (Which I admit is a risk because I don't know his alignment) I was trying to make myself as much of a target as possible for any NK out there.... Why? Because I am immune to being killed at Night.

One last thing I figured my plan would do.... I was pretty sure that no matter what the outcome was, it was gonna make some waves and stir the pot.... I would probably get some votes on me, and when votes start piling up, scum jump on the bandwagon and try to get away with an easy vote.

So, here's how I think the Night played out.

1. Scum tried to kill Takhisis to make me look bad, but the doc thought about that possibility and protected Takhisis. Yay Doc! In this case my plan worked out well.

2. Scum thought I could potentially be a watcher trying to trap them or a bus driver who would switch Takhisis with someone else, or something else that would interfere with their kill, so instead of Takhisis, they tried to take me out. And because I am immune to being killed at Night, it failed. In this case my plan worked out well.

3. Scum targeted someone else that the doc happened to protect... neither the doc nor the scum paid any attention to my post. Ok.. whatever, my plan was useless but that's okay because my goal was still met.

4. The scum didn't attempt to kill anyone for some reason that I can't think of... maybe to make me look more suspicious in this situation... maybe something else... you tell me? This option makes the least amount of sense to me.

5. And just to be fair and post all possibilities I can think of... I could be scum and this whole thing is just some elaborate ruse to make me look less suspicious... my question here is: Really? Look how much suspicion I have gained. And why would I try something so risky this early in the game with little to no suspicion on me yet? I suppose I could be CRAZY but I'm not and this last option is just dumb.



So yeah... there you have it... my reasoning... do what you will with it.... personally I feel some of the votes on me are much more suspicious than my activities... namely Bigtin.... but whatever.

Wait.... by my count I now have 8 votes against me... how is it scummy to address accusations?

You guys have some very odd ways of playing here. Is it better to ignore accusations and be silent? IMO being silent allows scum to hide with ease. Talking alot and getting your opinion out there on as many topics as possible, (if everyone does the same) makes it hard for scum to hide in plain sight. It forces them to do the same, and eventually they will contradict themselves or slip up and show some degree of PIS... then, BAM you got 'em.

@paul, I switched my vote for you because I know according to my ability that I could survive even if we were tied for votes. The OMGUS I did was unknown because I truly am a newb at mafia games.

And addressing my accusations is scummy? I am so lost on playstyles here.

And seriously, claiming a character... even if it is Reverend Lovejoy doesn't mean squat.

I doubt the mods would make the game so obvious that all the scum are characters that are commonly seen as antagonists on the show. (i.e. Sideshow Bob, Mr. Burns, Fat Tony, etc.) There are bound to be some typically protagonist characters on the scum roster (i.e. Ned Flanders, Reverend Lovejoy, Lisa, etc..)

I don't like the early claim... or the convenience of the vote switch... but the logic behind you switching your vote to me makes sense now... and I suppose your claim will have to be enough for now.

I'll take your actions at face value for a newbie to the game. I'm not sure I'm comfortable with you having twice the power of any vanilla town though... Your vote could swing things dramatically.... that's dangerous in the wrong hands. Hope yours turn out to not be the wrong hands.

I don't plan to abstain... but thus far I don't have a better vote. Gonna look at those currently voting for me with little to know reasoning and see what they have had to say so far in the game...

You guys seem to play this game with little to no discussion. It's very foreign to me.
