Sirius Intra-Team Pitboss Game!

Correct game this time. I couldn't help beginning a second turn because I was forced to choose a tech, but I did not end that turn.

My move shows on Civ Stats.

Success! New turn, everyone! :D

You may as well play and end your second turn, unless you want to wait for some discussion with Allan... but this early on you only have a Scout or Warrior to move, so it's not that big a deal. ;)

Too bad we didn't know about the bad pw before the end of turn. Kicking to AI will cause the AI to finish this turn, be sure to log in after and fix up any build or MM mistakes made by AI.

It could be a couple of hours before I get to it.

Maybe you accidentally set no password for Genghis? Might be worth checking out...

EDIT: Checked, this isn't the case.

I don't know how you could have typed the same wrong password in twice for Genghis though. Weird. ;)

I didn't need to log in before the end of the turn :/
Yeah, I realised... I was just thinking of the fact that when you initially have to type in your password, you have to do it twice. I don't know how you could have got it wrong the same way when you originally typed it in twice. ;)

EDIT: Caps lock, maybe? Try reversing caps and non-caps?

Nevermind, cancel that order, I figured it out. It was a case sensitivity thing. Not capslock for the record :) I'd tried some misspellings, but for some reason I didn't think of using a capital letter. Thought of it while writing the reply below.

Sorry again for the now pointless hassle.

I once got a maths exam back, in which somewhere in the working I'd multiplied 7x8 and got 63 (this was year 12 mind you). When I was looking over it, every time I got to that point in the working I multiplied 8 by 7 in my head and got 63. I very nearly ended up complaining to the teacher that there was nothing wrong with my answer before I finally figured it out. I don't think I've ever thought 8 7s were 63 before or since. But the point is, if you can do something stupid once, you can probably do it twice in an almost identical situation.

True, I guess. I can think of times I've made similar silly mistakes.

Glad you've figured out the problem, anyway. :)

Hi. I apologise for my absence. Its fine by my to have a team meat. So it will not only be my fault when we go down with the flag. :)

@Altjung. Maybe we should make a strategy together.

Allan, since I am new to MP and am not a strong player in SP (Noble in Rise of Mankind), I'll mostly be listening to more experienced voices. Right now I have in mind primarily to play Pacal's traits, but I have noticed that both other people and the AI tend to explore sooner and more widely than I do. I tend to focus on building my cities. This may not work too well in MP, which seems to be more aggressive than SP because everybody is eager for conquest, regardless of trait.

Bottom line: yes, counsel in strategy. Does Civ Fanatics have some kind of private messaging? I haven't investigated.

CFC does have a private messaging system. But this early in the game, you can also just post up a screenshot of your start (like most everyone else), and ask for some advice on how to play it. :)

BLuBMuZ, you're the only person left to play and we've all been waiting for you for several hours. Please play soon. I noticed you were online yesterday because you were posting here. Please keep in mind that it's slightly frustrating for the other players when they have to wait many hours just for one person to finish their turn in these games. ;)

WTH...
i noticed this morning the turn was finished and i just played my turn (cannot do it earlier). Then gave my pwd to HH since i'll be away until Friday.

BTW yesterday late night there was still 1 player left for the first turn.

I suspect it's the time zone

p.s. now here it's 0:40 AM, considering we just passed to summer hour.

Thanks. It's fine if you're busy for the day. I just wasn't sure if you didn't realise the turn was up. No offence intended. :)

Not bad, Altjung. Plenty of food with double Corn (one irrigated to boot), and tonnes of forests for chopping. Heading for Bronze Working early will serve you well. You'll want a Worker ASAP too, to start improving those Corn resources and chopping those forests.

It also looks like you could have either Horses, Copper or Iron on the tile 2N of your capital, due to the very obvious gap in the forests. So it'll be worth going for Animal Husbandry before too long if you don't get Copper there after Bronze Working.
