Anyway, the game is already won by LP. With "no tech trading" no one can fill the gap and any dogpiling is pointless.
If i play another multi game, i would ensure that the starts are balanced. And that i choose a good Leader.
I joined to learn a new way to play, since i played only solo games.
I think i learnt enough.

I wouldn't be so quick to claim the game is "won" already. It's way too early to be making such predictions. Sure, I have a few wonders, and that's what's pushing my Incan score up, but if you compare my Viking score with the other civs (subtracting a bit for the extra population - I've been spamming Settlers lately) you can work out roughly the number of techs that I'm ahead, and it's really not that many at all. Not to mention that even with tech trading off, there are multiple ways for civs to work together to catch up or even take the lead in tech.
It's also worth noting that (and I'm not sure if I should share this information, but never mind) I've pretty much filled all the limited city space on my own island, so my expansion options are very limited. While I know for a fact that some other civs have large areas of land still available to them for settling. In the long term it's quantity of land that counts for research the most.
So I wouldn't claim the game is decided at this point by any stretch of the imagination, BLubmuz.

Heh... luckily I consider that wonder more useless than Chichen Itza. I remember you said you liked it though, so I'm sure you're happy.
Must be the first wonder in quite a while that I haven't got, though. There's the Great Wall, the Pyramids, and Shwedagon Paya... is that it? I must be missing something...

fed1943, I noticed you logged in for a few minutes a while ago, but didn't complete either of your turns. Everything alright?
Sorry if I'm being a pain, it's just that for a while there we were doing quite well and getting 2 turns in on many days. Lately, however, the turn timer always seems to be running right to the end for one reason or another. We only have 7 people playing currently, so we really shouldn't be consistently running to the end of the timer on every turn.

We should get a sub from outside the game then.
If Fed's gone wouldn't it be better to have his civs as AI until a replacement can be found? That way the turns won't have to roll every round, and something will be done with his moves. The replacement can reclaim it from an AI correct?

Dave: Well, I don't think it would be a huge problem if the sub was from an ex-player in the game. But either way, it'd be good to have a sub, wherever they come from. Until we get a sub though, I suggest you boot fed1943's civs to AI, because an AI-controlled team is still preferable to a completely stagnant team in the interim while we wait for a sub.

I personally have no problem with that. I'm pretty sure Fed's civs are indeed on a different continent, and Astronomy is still quite a long way off.
Clarification: the sub needs to be someone not currently in the game. A former player would certainly be ok.
