Skullduggery Thread for Demohacking

:( Sadly it is true. Just logged in to the game, Apolyton bulbed Philo founding Taoism. Well done, MZ!

Can someone log-in and write down the Sabotage Production and Investigate City values of each city in the espionage screen. Also I need the current EP points towards us (TheirEP/OurEP, when you hover over their name in the score list) of any team that has visible cities.

I can log-in in a few hours, so if the turn hasn't rolled by then I can do it. But if someone sees this within a few hours of posting, please log-in and write down those values and post them here.

I will post the numbers for last turn in a few hours and take numbers of the new turn when I get home.

This is a very rough (but hopefully not misleading) analysis of the Spaniard's power.

So, on T107, they had just surpassed our own power score of 138k. I don't have SilentConfusion's fancy grids, but it looks like they got up to somewhere between 145k - 160k total power. As we know, this is composed of pop, tech, buildings and units. We have visibility on all their cities now, so let's break down what we know.

Pop = 12k power for 25 pop on T107
Buildings = 12k power for 4 Ikhandas (I'm pretty sure the city we uncovered most recently had an Ikh in there, but maybe this is only 9k)
Tech = 28k minimum for Hunting 2k, Mining 2k, BW 8k, TW 4k, AH 2K, Maths 6k and Const 4k. Note that I have not included Archery since we haven't seen any archers in their land.

SUBTOTAL = 52K

That leaves us with about 90k - 110k in soldiers.

In Ulundi (cap) = 2k (garrison warrior)

In Umgung = ??? (maybe another 2k garrison warrior?)

Near Nobamba = 22k (2 cats + archer axe + chariot + warrior, this is their furthest city from us)

Near Bulwayo = 14k (2 chariots + warrior inside city, Impi guarding worker, these could threaten Ahbi)

Near KwaD = 29k (3 cats + impi inside city, impi and axe guarding workers, these could threaten Hansa)

UNIT SUBTOTAL = 69K

This leaves us with 20k - 40k unknown soldiers. Units they can build include warriors for 2k, chariots for 4k, impi for 4k, cats for 5k, and axes for 6k. If they have a couple axes and a couple impi in the fog somewhere, this would be at least 20k. If they have a few exploring warriors wandering about this could be another 6k. They can't have too many more cats around, since they just completed Construction on T102 and they've only whipped 3 times since then. And another chariot or two would make sense.

So, it seems to me that we may be looking at an addition 2-3 axes, 2-3 impi, 1-2 chariots that can threaten us, that we haven't already located.

One thing I noticed- you said you aren't counting Archery but then you note that they have an archer near Nobama...

Wow, you are really observant, Cav! And a good news for us, they have 6k less soldiers - not big deal, but nice to know.

Haha, nice catch. I had notes all over the place when I wrote that so I definitely appreciate people looking over my work. That is one less axe we need to worry about.

When we're able to log in we need to see what UCiv and the Spaniards did with their Espy for the turn. I hope we don't lose the Spanish graphs.

I never saw a Spanish archer, so for me most probably they indeed have no Archery.

Can we get Spanish and RB's production please?

Also can we make educated guess what is RB's GPT at 0% slider and what is their BPT at 100% slider and how much money they are paying for maintenance?

This can help us making estimation about their chances at different things.

A quick lesson in equality (Basic mathematical theory):

Having Archery equals having the possibility to build own archers.

Having an Archer equals having the possibility to attain archers.

This means:

Having Archery does not necessary mean that you got any archers.
Having an Archer does not mean you have built it yourself, it may have been donated by someone.

I have fixed that older post about the Spaniards' military. It was an axe they had in the city, not an archer. Somewhere I got my notes mixed up. We have not seen any Spanish archers at all in this game.

Re: 2metra's request, I tried to get the production numbers but they kept coming out wrong (unless all their cities have between 80-300 hammers invested in stuff, which seems very unlikely). I don't know what I'm getting wrong, but I gave up.

What I can say is that the Spanish cities are size 6-6-6-5-3, and that they haven't whipped for 2 turns now. Also, their power graph has stagnated since they decided to pull their units out of our borders. My guess is they have chosen to turtle up and hope to take out our army when we follow them in to attack a city. Little do they know we plan on just ignoring them for 15 turns, so if this is really their plan, it works right into our strategy.

They dont whip and most probably dont build units at all, because they are making 8 gpt at 0% :D 2-3 more whips and they start to lose money.

Can we think of something to offer to Apolyton so they tell us which team have what techs? It must be something really good.

It is easy to confuse "sabotage building" with "sabotage production" number, especially in Spanish ;-) If it is not the case, post here or send me "sabotage production" and "investigate city" numbers for each of their cities and their EP and I will try to re-calculate the production.

This is really very nice news indeed. Their army isn't going to expand, but is going to bog them down from teching anything. So we can just tech ourselves bureaucracy (macemen), maybe guilds even, following an economic path, and then tromp all over them in our own merry time.
