Skullduggery Thread for Demohacking

2metraninja: tbh, I dont even know what techs you have. I think of you like you are big enough boy to can manage your own
Ot4e: you have alphabet
2metraninja: yes, I do have
Ot4e: i dont believe your demohackers are eating their breads for free

Yum, free bread!

Ok, it's been much too long since this thread has had any activity. Let's start simple here. RB's current tech:

Spoiler :

I could be wrong here, but I think that's pretty accurate for their tech. Also, I haven't been keeping any track whatsoever of score increases for dozens of turns. Has anyone been following this closely enough to know when they got the free Lib tech? Wait, wasn't that how they got Nat when we were racing for Taj?

Anyone want to help me work through the other teams? Here is the tech screen from this turn:

Spoiler :

@yossa

not sure, but my bet is Lib->nat for the tM race

I am really surprised no one is going MT... Pacal (I think that is RB?) is closest with needs for Music, GP and MT, but that is still some 5k beakers...

really surprised that a lot of teams doesn't have Lit yet... it's big mistake imo.

I don't think it's too important to draw tech trees for other teams... they are a lot behind in some crucial areas and the tech screen itself is good enough to answer questions about their progress...

especially lol on Elisabeth not knowing IW...

I wonder what RB will tech next... I could see them going banking/PP... they will probably want to catch some breath after new territory and banks is something that could help.
PP can be bulbed, would have to recheck the GS priority, but I think if they tech GP the bulb will be for chemistry... so will be worth checking their GS and tech tree at the point...
techs of this era can't be single bulbed...but surely you can get tons of beakers that way... actually discussing with Lymond, we both agree that PP (maybe chem) are the last techs worth of bulbing... behind that point it's always better to run another GA...

I edited the tech screenshot to include the team for each leader.

Here is the next most important tech update, CivFr:

Spoiler :

Who CP steamroled? They have near 1600 goold i think are building oxford and them beein org and having a shrine i dont think they spent more then 130-140 turn.

No, I don't think that CP would get steamrolled. At the same time, I also don't think that they would have any sort of success trying to go on the offensive against RB, even if Poly and we also hit RB at the same time.

I haven't even posted the charts for WPC or the Germans, which are even sadder than either of our allies...

At any rate, here's our own tech progress, to give us a comparative view:

Spoiler :

Good, I'm glad you've shared it with yourself! :)

Unfortunately I haven't updated it for ages. :(

dont worrie. I guess this kind of info is more relevant in the first turns... I use to have one for civIII, I would like to study this one a little

Here's Poly's new tech screen from T159. They've come a long way since we last looked at them. The three techs they stole from RB are in the yellow-green color.

Spoiler :

All of those are very good.

Us/Eman better then Rep/Slav? well maybe for us (spi trait).... otherwise...

and if they really go Demo now and plan to build SoL, where they will get those promised hammers for units then?

and how would Eman mix with military buildup?

if you're right...they probably screw with us even more then expected...

Emancipation is a screwjob since it forces everyone else to go don that path just for that civic, so it is rather useful if you are quite advanced.

emancipation if you're the only one having it is pretty easily fought out...

first your cities needs to be large, like really large to even notice it and then it scales with the number of teams having it...

which is problem in SP after some point, but will be no big impact right now on anyone...

the other aspect (growing cottages) is stronger motivation for sure here... but that would necessarily mean low production for long time...

so if Poly go that way, they can't realistically commit to the war...
