Chandrasekhar
Determined
Also, maybe Chandrasekhar can shed more light on this, but isn't Snakes and Foxes a spin-off of Unser's Doppleganger Dungeon?
*Puts on history teacher glasses*
It was definitely influenced by it. Originally, Unser Giftzwerg made Doppleganger Dungeon as a sort of cooperative adventure, where the adventuring party would vote on the best course of action, with their unique abilities and attributes. In the final version, there was to be some dops among the party who would try to get everyone killed, by using their advance knowledge of the dungeon's monsters and traps.
The other main influence was Xuenay's NotW VI, which introduced the concept of player wealth. In that game, it influenced votes, but Snakes and Foxes was the first to include an item purchasing system. I believe Snakes and Foxes was also the first game here to include directly competetive mafia groups.
