I really think Lionheart is not the problem here. The Ottomans are. I guess a lot of people advocating for the Ottomans since day 1 actively dislike Georgia. Maybe not the ones on this forum, but on YT etc.

I admit my first thought on seeing the shield was, "Oh, no, it really is William Wallace."

But I think many people that glorify and adore the Ottoman Empire will have trouble understanding how a (perceived much less important and) smaller neighbor can get in first.

Funny how coincidences work:
Last month I was painting Norman shields for some miniatures, so I saw the kite shield and said: Normans!
No, Norman early 11th century (William the B - who else would be their game leader?) were rounded on top and bottom, the 'pure' kite pointed bottom came later:
Crusades!
Then saw the curved blade on the sword and said:
Georgia!
- Because these discussions had me looking up 'Georgian Warriors' a couple of weeks ago (which gives you numerous references to some %$#@&^ basketball team and player, by the way) and I remember seeing that sword several times on both foot and mounted figures...

Note another tie-in: It was the Mongols who crushed the independent Georgian State a generation or so after Tamar, so both Golden and Dark Ages are represented by the inclusion of both Georgia and the Mongols in R & F.

I don’t think it’s the order of introduction. It’s the shrinking probability of the Ottoman inclusion with every non-Ottoman reveal.

Georgia comments gets quite a lot of likes, however most people are still guessing Richard.....not even Wallace or anyone else
