It’s Richard the Lionhearted leading Britain :p
Wouldn't that be something. Richard leading Britain while Victoria still leads the English. :crazyeye:

I actually think that Firaxis thought some people will fall for that with the Norman looking shield and the Lion reference and did it on purpose.

And how long do you think we'll wait to see on barbaric places (YT and then...) people complaining "I wanted Richard Lionheart! The teaser was obviously about Richard Lionheart! How shameful that it is just some obscure soulless barely-person with concave genitals who didn't do anything for the very narrow-minded idea I have for a civilization as an arbitrary definition!"

I really think Lionheart is not the problem here. The Ottomans are. I guess a lot of people advocating for the Ottomans since day 1 actively dislike Georgia. Maybe not the ones on this forum, but on YT etc.

I admit my first thought on seeing the shield was, "Oh, no, it really is William Wallace." :p

I'm just waiting for the people complaining that an American state is being included separately.

I'll serve as a scout and I'll report how the YouTube comments will look, like usual :p I just hope that my sanity is going to be allright after that

I could do it instead. I'm used to League of Legends, I can handle everything.

I don't perceive Georgia and the Ottomans as being mutually exclusive.

No, me neither.
But I think many people that glorify and adore the Ottoman Empire will have trouble understanding how a (perceived much less important and) smaller neighbor can get in first.

People need to stop obsessing over the order of introduction.

It's nice to see the effects of this community. I wonder if they decided on Tamar early and it actually helped shape the expansion's age system or if it was the other way around.

I'll do my best to ignore your future posts on Youtube comments to preserve my sanity... :crazyeye:

Funny how coincidences work:
Last month I was painting Norman shields for some miniatures, so I saw the kite shield and said: Normans!
No, Norman early 11th century (William the B - who else would be their game leader?) were rounded on top and bottom, the 'pure' kite pointed bottom came later:
Crusades!
Then saw the curved blade on the sword and said:
Georgia!
- Because these discussions had me looking up 'Georgian Warriors' a couple of weeks ago (which gives you numerous references to some %$#@&^ basketball team and player, by the way) and I remember seeing that sword several times on both foot and mounted figures...

Note another tie-in: It was the Mongols who crushed the independent Georgian State a generation or so after Tamar, so both Golden and Dark Ages are represented by the inclusion of both Georgia and the Mongols in R & F.

Let's see her bonuses first and then think about that. It might be that she gets some unique options for dark/golden ages or something.

Just took a look at FB comments.
Georgia comments gets quite a lot of likes, however most people are still guessing Richard.....not even Wallace or anyone else

If she's not the female ruler who "plays interestingly with ages," we're running low on options here. :p
