I think that leak is garbage.

We can hope!!

I suppose we won't know for sure until the second-to-last civ is revealed. Although if next week is either the Zulu or the Celts, that probably points to the full leak being legit.

I'm tentatively excited for Georgia. I can't feel fully all-in on the civ's presence until the full list is revealed-- if they're essentially "bumping" the Inca, say, that's less than ideal-- but they fill all sorts of interesting niches, provide new blood, and hopefully will have great, fresh gameplay to boot (golden age female leader here we go!).

"Casse-tête" literally means head breaker but usually it means "puzzle". And yes it sounds a lot like "kasteti".

Yep. Moreover, in Russian the same thing is called "kastet", sounding nearly exactly like the French source. And yep, I know in French it means "puzzle" - it's always a source of fun for Russians studying French.

It's a delayed orthodox christmas present?

Could be. Georgia has the same Christmas day as Russia.

Now I have the opportunity to do this:

TAMAR OF GEORGIA CONFIRMED Y'ALL!!!! #Sakartvelo #FromMemetoCiv

The animal could be European mink.

Remember kids, tomorrow stay away from facebook, twitter and steam comments, it will be all complaints about another woman being added, another "insignificant" country being added and worse of all sins, another Civ that isn't the Ottomans being added. We just need to survive the hate and the dream will come true, Georgia isn't a meme anymore.

Stay safe on Civfanatics where people are reasonable and on Reddit where you can downvote.

Don't Eastern Orthodox place a lot of emphasis on the Epiphany, which was two days ago?

I have a lovely mental image of rioting Civfanatics! I'm betting the Ottomans will be a post R&F DLC.

I'm not even refering to Civfanatics (due to the dilligent efforts of the admin police, complaints here will never go beyond the level of base passive-aggression and whining at best). However, The Ottomans are by far the most widely requested Civ on social media. The casuals will melt down if they're out over Tamar.

I have a long list of civs I'd include over Georgia but I'm not going to lose any sleep over it.

January 7th is Christmas according to the Julian calendar, which is still being used by Eastern Orthodox nations (including Georgia).

Put me in the camp that thinks that link is not accurate or reliable. Maybe wishful thinking on my part but...

Also, count me as one who is interested in Georgia, if only because it's new to Civ. Ottoman inclusion would be unsurprising, but it's not going to make or break the game for me.

Aha. It's an Eastern Orthodox Christmas present.

I posted this a while ago but I wonder if they didn't want to mention who the new Great General was because it may be David Soslan which would then be a direct link to Tamar.

Yay! Georgia! :king:

I was really unconvinced until I saw the lion painting, so good job orangeblue47!

Curious how Firaxis went for the more crusader-styled shield over the traditional round one. I think that's what really threw many of us off.
