SNEAK PEAK: Interstellar Colonization AND cIVRPG

Yea cant wait!!! hopefully before the weekend (i wouldn't be here :( )

I'll be back by the 16th and I'm really looking forward to both — I'm pretty sure I've mentioned this before, I just really have nothing going for me in life right now ^^.

I might delay the release also. So dont get your hopes up too much.

As my signature says:
"A delayed game is eventually good, a bad game is bad forever" - Shigeru Miyamoto

Not that my first release needs to be perfect. I might just want to finish a certain feature that might take longer then planned to implement, or such.

Im just wondering.... did you think up a new tech tree or did you get someone else to do that (a friend or someone?)

Give. Me. If you want any help on stories and background and Civilopedia entries, I'll do it all just to get the interstellar mod a day before anyone else. Seriously.

I'm taking an increased physics class... I'd be willing (more than willing that is) to help out with IntCol.

Great!

Dont be hesitant to suggest ANYTHING at all once you have played the game. Thats exactly what I want once its released. I might just make you a team member if you want.

Want? NEED!!! Seriously, I have very little to do right now, once school starts, I'll have slightly less time doing nothing, but still I'll be available for most of it. I'd be happy to do anything for such an amazing project :) ...

I was trying to write one big "pretty please with a cherry on top" to get into the team, but you inbox was full o.O

@Grey Fox: Looks nice. But I wonder if you are going to implement the jovian planets of a solar system as well. I realize that those cannot be colonized, but their moon systems can. Also, from the sol system picture you showed us, it seems that those jovians will be kept outside "city range", so be unexploitable as we know the game. Do you plan on implementing the extended city range mod here so those far-away jovians could be exploited as well?
Another suggestion: how about rearranging solar systems so that the first row of plots around a sun contain planets as well? That first row could be considered as depicting the planets that might be habitable for the typical oxygen-breathing race. You could put more planets around a sun if needed, and linked with the extended city range mod the third row of plots could be used to depict the outer ranges of a solar system with stuff like comets, ice-dwarfs (plutino's) and the like.

Well, keep up the good work. :)

Well I already have a 4 ring city radius of 69 tiles. I didnt know about the 3-ring radius mod until after I made that modification, since I didnt have internet when I made it.

And every type of planet will be colonizeable. If not a colony, then a mining facility (can be gas mining, etc.). Consider the floating city from Empire strikes back. Although it will take a while until a civ gets the required tech to do so.

Sorry, but I am putting IntCols release date back to: Soon.

Since I got the beginning of a team now, I'm gonna use them as the first guinea pigs, and once they and I consider the first release to be viable it will be announced and released.

I'd love to help out if i can.... when school starts im going to take a C++/Java class so i'll be a bit more advanced in the field of programming then i currently am. :) it would be good practice if i could do a bit of sdk stuff for you.
