SNES: Absolution III

From Mycenae
To Germany:
Do you plan to attack Aleksandre of the Balkas?

From Mycenae
To Rome:
We will respect your independance. We are sorry if we appeared aggressive. We would like to protect your nation. In return you will aid us with economy. No one will lay a hand on your nation. Agreed?

From Mycenae
To Semerian Slaves:
Your mother country holds many of you, you can revolt, revolt and you will be granted your freedom and small ownerships of the land you work on right now.

From Mycenae
To Gaul:
We would like to propose a non-recipricol alliance. This means you will have no involvement in our war against Semer. :)

From Mycenae
To Ajaj:
We propose trade between out two people. The oats of Egypt tempt me, I am sure our Roman and Greek wine do so for you.

*We are to begin the Collossus Wonder in Rhodes.*

To Mycenae
From Ajaj
Oat farming is indeed a growing business in Egypt. We would be honored to trade oats for your rumored fine wine.

whats that Buntarism??? I never heard of it...

I created it for fun cause my nation is soooo boring. I put it in that huge mess of a story I posted a bit ago.

Look on the first page, in the post with religion info on it.

Apparently, Buntarism is spreading like a disease!

Ummm... Amir, Aleksandre of the Balkans is intended as a kinda evil Alexander the Great of Macedon he is in Greece and is building up a revolution, what does your diplo to the Germans mean?

The Supreme Council forsaw the United Empire being a great Sea Empire. The setbacks in the so called 'Greenland' were troublesome. The island must be theirs!

Druid Orders

Promote Druid Relgion throughout the war.
Upgrade the navy to antiquity
Raise the level of training for the navy
Sail and colonise the Azore Island chain
Continue the expansion along the coastlines of Greenland.
Begin getting the citizenry of the nation to become more independent.

Build new UU: Druid Longship: Superior knowledge at sea leads to the creation of this ship. which is stronger, better amoured and faster than any other ship in the world. (Will be upgraded to new Longship in every age)

Orders: Continue expanding, now concentrate into Africa.
Continue training army, start training navy
Start building universities in major cities to increase education

The first 200 years of the new Republic of Ajaj went by well. Subsitance and commercial farming flourished, new trade routes were opened with Mycenae, the army became more experienced through specialized training programs, and the people were generally happy with their lives.

The first Flag of the Buntarist Republic of Ajaj:
ajajflag.JPG

It includes colors crimson (for courage) black (for resiliance) and tan (for contentment)
The triangle stands for the 3 main beliefs of Buntarism:
Seek to better your life, as long as it does not harm that of other citizens.
Defend your land and life from foriegn aggressors.
Apply yourself to ever improve your home nation.
Below the triange is the phrase Untarek jatua hakunam (roughly translated "Seek betterness always") in traditional Ajaj script.

To Mycenae
From Germany:
Aleksandre of the Balkans is a threat for both your and our people. We know your forces are overextended all over the mediterrenean due to war. We are willing to help out in the destruction of such rebels as they are also attacking our borders.

Let us come and help, or at least co-operate against them.

Medea to Mycenae :

Sure.

The Empire stretched across mountains and hills, plains, dunes, forests and swamps, might rivers, all the way to the sands of the sea. It was alot for one man to rule. And you know what? No one man did rule the empire. For hundreds of years the power of the king had been growing, certainly, in terms of overall wealth and the extent of the kingdom, but declining in relation to the rising power of wealthy local elites. Long gone were the days of the all-powerful royal despot, ruling by strength of arm and numbers of livestock. Of course the king was still in charge--perhaps more by chance than from anything else. The local elites usually stayed fairly loyal, as the royal policies were favorable enough to their interests. But this king suspected that if their use for him ran out, he might not win the ensuing fight. He was not pleased with depending on the satisfaction of his subjects.
Religious influxes provided an interesting opportunity to be exploited. Odolism, Buntarism, Earth Mother Worship, and traditional bull worship all coexisted in Medea peacefully, but seperately. The isolated cult-like groups of Odolists and Earth Motherers had secure communities, with well established authority structures. Many former Pantheists, comprising the bulk of the royal civil service, converted to Buntarism, along with numbers of scribes, merchants, artisans, and some nobles, having found a religion to match their existing socially-confirmed ideology.
Now the king needed a new system of operation. No man could rule or administer an empire of this size by fiat alone, nor could he rely on the fragile good will of the urban lords and provincial aristocrats to support him indefinately. Local operations would have to be carried out independently, but influence and authority had to flow from him, the single central figure. Urban, countryside, and cult leaders would have to be coopted, their positions made a function of the state. Loyalty and ability would decide a person's position in the government's power structure.

ORDERS

Change government to Hierarchy (Note: Don't get the impression that the king is dictating positions of ownership and wealth throughout the entire kingdom; the reorganization is one of political power, not social order)

Improve education by having civil service examinations and educating scribes, notaries, and administrators.

Expand into Anatolia.

Continue Wonder.

I've seen a few questions about world religions and so I made a map describing areas of religious influence. The circles might be a little faint, but you can make them out. Most are mutually inclusive. Local religions are generally not included escept in the Far East (where they remain major) and in the far West (where there is little else).

Nippon, the Empire of the Rising sun

As the Nipponese expansion continued all kind of new territories and natives were conquered, some of these natives brought strange customs and tradition with them, though foreign customs and tradition was not what bothered the Emperor, a new religion called Odolism was, this filth seemingly originated from the greedy Markadian swines, rumors said that even some Nipponese settlers were contaminated and decided to convert to this believe, it was unacceptable that the people of Nippon could be exposed to such filth and therefore the Emperor decided to create a body of men that with the help of the army will eradicate this disease before it would spread further and prevent from forming again and to further help develop nationalist feeling amongst the newly conquered lands the Great Emperor ordered his best artists to develop an Imperial flag and Imperial anthem.

The Emperor was also studying the designs for a huge lighthouse a merchant brought from abroad, it was very unclear how exactly the merchant came to those but they were of great interest to the Emperor, while the lighthouse would have little practical use over other lighthouses but it would be a tribute to our ancestors who dwelt only on these isles and to all the Sailors that died and would die at sea, may the great flame guide their souls home.

(Skilord, I said that it didn’t matter that you forgot my grand imperialization wonder and that I would work on a open wonder once you posted them, so could you change the wonder to Great Lighhouse , thanks)

Nipponese Anthem

Heroes of the sea, noble people,
Valiant and immortal nation,
Arise today once more
the splendors of Nippon.
From out of the mists of memory,
O Homeland, feel the voices
Of your great forefathers
That shall lead you on to victory!

Chorus:
To arms, to arms
On land and sea!
To arms, to arms
To fight for our Homeland!
Against our enemy’s we march, we march!

March on! Heroic People of Nippon!
Let us continue our conquest under the great Emperor’s guidance,
Millions with but one heart toward Jinto,
Labor hard to support our Men,
Who protect the country and fight bravely.
March on, march on, march on!
We will for generations,
Raise high Nippon’s banner, march on!
Raise high Nippon’s banner, march on!
March on! March on!
Orders: PM’ed
