Solver's unofficial BtS 3.17 patch

I coulda sworn it already is base hammers only. When i look in my city screen it will say 25 gold from hammers and i'll have base 25 hammers... so it's already that way.
Lexad is not talking about building wealth but the gold that you get with a very large amount of hammer overflow. Since this gold is calculated before the production modifiers are undone, it is often a better conversion than wealth itself. It is probably something which should be looked at.

One more thing: Cuirassiers ignore walls and castles as a gunpowder unit they are, but Conquistadors don't. Is that intentional, or just a leftover from them being Knights once? If it ain't, please fix.

This is not patch related, but BUG related. There is an XML file to remove, but I'm not sure which; you can search for that, lots of people had the same problem

i'm still getting missing terxt entries (you know TXT_KEY_) in my menus were those fixed in this patch?

This is not patch related, but BUG related. There is an XML file to remove.

Correct. Remove the file [Custom]Assets/XML/Text/CIV4GameText_BTS.xml from where you installed BUG. Note also that we just released BUG 3.5 last weekend.

If by "last update" you mean Dresden's unofficial update to Solver's patch, then yes -- this issue got fixed there (thankfully). There is also a new version coming soon.

I instaled patch v3.17 for the civIV-beyond the sword,
but after restarting the game didn,t start.
What is wrong?

No idea without any more information. The only thing I am sure of is that you are not in the correct thread for that.

Big thanks Dresdon! A lot of work, this patch release would have been! It is worth the effort to keep improving this great game. If only for all us die hards still playing it! Thanks!

Cheers:goodjob:

MY brain broke...

From looking at the CIV4HandicapInfo.xml, tech freebies are handed out as follows:

Settler: human gets Wheel, Agriculture, Mining
Chieftain: human gets Wheel, Agriculture
Warlord: human gets Wheel
Noble: -
Prince: -
Monarch: AI gets Archery
Emperor: AI gets Archery, Hunting
Immortal: AI gets Archery, Hunting, Agriculture
Deity: AI gets Archery, Hunting, Agriculture, Wheel

So if you're playing Settler or Chieftain and you always get Wheel and Agriculture or if you're playing Deity and the AIs always get them, I'm afraid you're perfectly fine ... ;)
