In general yes. However, if we are talking about just one accused rapist/murderer who has not been indicted after 20 years (assumed to be due to lack of evidence), then a presidential candidate proving that he is a legal candidate, is much more important.

I guess I am confused why any citizen would not want a vetting process for the Presidential candidates, to ensure that they are all legal candidates according to the law.

I think tracking down rapists and murderers has been historically more important to the American people than asking for a level of proof not within the text of the Constitution. Maybe you can prove me wrong by posting the long form birth certificate of every President since President Obama. Start with Washington and work your way up, as that would be most indicative of original intent.

You know better than that, Jolly, people who were already citizens of the states/colonies at the time of the American Revolution were grandfathered in - Washington and other early Presidents wouldn't have needed proof of being natural-born.

How can attacks go to far against a man accused of raping and murdering a girl in 1990 who instead of denying the allegations goes on a crusade to shutdown the whistle blowers? Point taken, but the legal technicality in this example is there for a reason. To protect the nation from a would-be foreign usurper. Only a small handful of folks would actually believe that BHO could possibly be a foreign usurper. So we make an exception for BHO, even though his paperwork is not perfectly in order.

But to those idiotic citizens who think that about BHO, this is a legal technicality that could make him an illegal candidate. I don't know the law, so I just assume BHO is legal because most everyone said so.

I've been watching Glenn Beck occasionally, and he deserves everything. He's phenomenally dishonest, and what he says is completely delusional. He argued the other day that Obama is working with the SEIU to bring about a global Communist revolution. Seriously, that was his episode. In 2009.

Someone ought to make a collection of such phrases for reference, things that are completely acceptable and won't be punished even if they sound aggressive or insulting against another. I'm sure many know the same sentiments worded differently could result in reprimands so it would be great to have such a short list on hand, maybe I'll just keep track myself.

Well when we're talking about someone who is as vacuous of content and drooling mad as Glenn Beck, there is nothing to criticize about him. Just direct people to some of his ramblings and if they don't respond with mockery and a chorus of "Why the is this guy even on TV?" they're pretty much beyond repair.
