That's the list of files uploaded by a dude called Vojuln. As I'm sure you'll notice, he didn't actually make any of these files. He does credit the original creators, but giving credit is not the same as getting permission. I let him know in the case of my own work that he stole that he very much did not have permission, and he simply deleted my comments and left the files up. In my case, I do give permission to anyone who asks, provided you're actually changing something and that you asked first. This guy is just copying and reuploading people's work. That's not cool.

I've reported my stolen files and reported him, but it's been days and I don't think Steam cares. Perhaps if more people report the guy they would. Anyway, I thought I'd let you guys know that someone is stealing a bunch of your work, as I know many of these things were made by some of you.

Maybe you'll get more traction if you post in the subreddit of civ...

I don't use reddit, and I know some of the mod authors for several of the files he stole post them here. It's really not a big deal that some dude is stealing these mods (it's more annoying that anything; we don't make money off of these), but people should at least be informed it's happening.

Is CivFanatics really not that popular or something? I should try reddit instead? I guess I don't care enough to go make an account with a new web site.

Okay, cool. For whatever reason all of the stolen files are still on Steam Workshop. It seems they don't police that stuff at all.

Steam will only respond if you are Bethesda, Universal Pictures, or Mighty Mouse (also known as sue-happy Disney Co), or [fill in name of company with lawyers on retainer].

Wow. Yeah, you guys are right. All that crap is still up and in fact the dude added more (again, all stolen). I've gotten no response of any kind from Steam. This is a lost cause. Oh well.

The first thing I did was leave comments on the pages for files I made, letting him know he did not have permission to do that. He deleted my comments and then, oddly, sent a friend request to me. By no means is this guy unaware that what he's doing is wrong.

I reported him on Steam, maybe that helps. Maybe.

I wasn't aware of this.

But what Lee said, once it goes on the workshop getting it down is gonna be very, very hard.

I had some maps I made for Serious Sam 3 stolen not that long ago and it took a good ammout of effort to get the thief to remove them. And worse, he didn't even credit me.

If possible, I support KevinJK on this, I hope you get those files down.

EDIT: If want to get somewhere with this, you should accept that request and try to settle it privately (he's deleting you comments so they arn't in public)
