Hi, i would consider myself a fairly average player struggling on noble difficulty and would appreciate some advice from all you forum posters.

Open borders: on a typical continents type map do you always allow open borders. Having played earlier versions i still have a tendancy to always say no- so that i can continue to land grab...does this become impractical on the harder diff. levels?

Trade: what is the benefit of swappping resources that offer the same benefits?- are there actual financial benefits?

diplomacy: whenever i attempt to ask another civ to adopt my religion the option has always been in red (i.e. unable to select it). Does the AI caculate this by the number of its cities already having my religion, or is it our general relationship that needs to be improved before it will be possible.

I will always sign open borders unless I can use closed borders for further land grab. I usually find most of the land is taken around the time I get writing anyway.

The AI will only give you resorces if they have 2 of that resorce. So if you swop your only one with them they will gain one, and you will not benift, except for a small increase in mood towards you. If you have 2 sources, then you get an extra recorce.

If you hold the mouse over the red option, it will tell you why. Normally for me it is "we do not like you" or "not enough cities of that relegion", which are pretty self explnatory.
