I honor my alliance, and pressure my African brothers to do the same. I will let them coordinate the war if they join. (I'm going to let you sim me on this one, as you can run the war more efficiently than I can, since you control most of my allies.

Salt pressures Spain to support us. In money at least, if they do not wish to join the war effort.
 
as far as i can determine, the Russian side has 200+ gold advantage on the Austrian side.
 
Imperator von Stauffenberg reminds Spain of the fraternity Austria has shown it over the years and the number of times that Austria has supported Spain in their hours of need. Now Austria expects Spain to return the favour.

Having exhausted many of its forces in the Great Patriotic War, Slavia calls an end to attacks and instead fortifies for the worst - Kalmar's attack.

Before that, however, the Baltic fleets of the belligerents go at it!

While Vienna is captured and the royal family set free, it is a Pyrrhic victory - Austria returns the favor and uses its spare troops to conquer huge amounts of Albanian land.

Meanwhile, 3 Austrian, 3 Salt and 10 UE fleets go against 5 Albanian, 3 Echidna, and 3 Turkish fleets in the Central Mediterranean. The winner will control the Mediterranean!

The Echidna Empire, at Tech 16, goes first, against Tech 13 United Empire.

The UE's ships attack! Echidna get +3.

-Triple Alliance decimated on land; Austria and Albania switch capitals.
-Triple Alliance dominates the sea and threatens to ka-pow the Western Europeans, but Spanish arrival could flip the tables.

You've spent your cash, but you still have troops already deployed, so, feel free to send them wherever. Or just automate them.
 
automate them. be sure to leave 6 armies in Iberia, for obvious reasons. use all the navies.
 
Spain's navy battles Albania's! They are evenly matched.

Spain loses 2 navies but sinks the last of the Albanian fleet. 10 armies are sent on board the 4 remaining vessels and sent eastward.

There, the Turks lose their fleet.

The Spanish fleet establishes control over much of Greece, seizing 6 provinces from Albania and 1 from Turkey.

Albania's last 3 provinces soon fall as well.

Spain reachs its optimal 30 of 30 provinces, and now has a vast empire spanning all parts of the Mediterranean. Albania barely holds on to Slavonia in its homeland, while struggling to maintain a grip on the captured Austrian territories and Libya and Italy.

Kalmar sends 4 troops across into northern Russia...

Kalmar has +4 on Russia, and first uses a navy to assault the last Russian fleet.

With that, Kalmar's troops are free to ferry around the Baltic.

The Habsburgs have a tough choice. They can either use their forces to retake their own capital - and run the risk of not having enough men - or focus on Slavia's capital, which has only one unit protecting it.

Slavia is disrupted immensely, having lost all but 8 seaports, and those are all at high-risk.

Interesting. I dont think I have ever seen a world war this equal. Talk about going out with a bang ;)

Question for you though: If we manage to win this war and end up in a cold war with the Americas, could this game advance into future tech? I suppose that would require changing the rules, but...
 
i feel the urge. you know, the Byzantine urge.

anyway, i guess ill focus on the Turks next. i just hope echinda doesn't just wipe me out like im nothing...
 
Not like nothing. It'll be a good fight. Really, it depends on what support I can get from the other African nations. If they were still players, extensive support. But with the automation/regime changes perhaps they will be less inclined. We shall see

hmm. we can send a few armies to reinforce the Salty Capital. thats possible, sicne most of the army is still able to move.
 
Ahh.. true, but I can afford that much Tech jump. :) no money spent yet I believe. Alternately, my ally Austria could just transfer some tech over.
 
also, for some reason, the Spanish military bypassed Italy. if no one minds, id like to take those next turn. everyone agree with me?
 
If the Salt Empire will crush the vile alien scum, Imperator von Stauffenberg will share Austrian military secrets (transfer some military levels we can afford to replace).
