Well, I had thoughts of finishing up with the more stylish conquest victory. But our enemies still hold twenty-four cities, and I probably wouldnt get back to this until well into 2009.

So, we found twenty-one fill-in towns, increasing our control of the worlds territory to 66%, and
This result would have placed us approximately fifteenth out of seventy-three in COTM8. We didnt do better because we moved our exploring curragh in the wrong pattern around 1250 BC, and so didnt make contact with the five civs on the other continent until centuries later than we should have. We were thus hopelessly handicapped relative to the fast-research aces who finished well in COTM8. A fascinating example, anyway, of large consequences from a small error.
An oddity of this game is that the Persians were wiped out, without any involvement on our part, in 210 BC. How often do they lose the early AI wars?
This thread also featured the last CivFanatics posts by Mad-bax, Ted Jackson, and Karasuquite a lineup of the departed.
So, whos up for Space-5?
