Pre-Turn:
Revolt to State Property and emancipation, MM every city for food.
Realize food is stagnant in Civ4 Anarchy, feel dumb, do over.
T1.
Shed defenders from every city, keeping a good lineup only on the west coast - we DON'T want Cretinburg or GIF to get a zulu boat in the teeth - not that Zulu boats can make it out of a pond without sinking, but you get the point. Point being the Zulus are really behind.
Send every able hand to Munich. Prep building galleons.
T2.
Try to find something useful to do. Fail miserably.

Shaka wants us to cancel deals with Elizabeth. Sorry pal, she's more classy, that wins me every time.
Lose a privateer at sea
T3.
Anarchy is over. Re-do MM.
GSci goes into Happytowne, where Oxford is. Built an academy, but I'm unsuer as to whether settling would've been better. Probably settling better with the bonuses. Will think about it more next time.
[Hindsight comforting voice] Or wait. 50% of base isn't that bad, especially for science. Yeah, it's really good. Guess we traded 1 shield base for 20 beakers modded - good payoff. [/schyzophrenia]
T5.
The IBT's are taking forever because of all the AI's units. I turn off foreign unit movements and come read the boards. Athens for IW sounds ludicrous. It'll go there.
Send workers to put even more workshops around Athens. If anything, it'll have shields. And maybe West Point when we get a badass enough Rambo or Terminator or Bauer, but not Norris (too badass) and not Bourne (does anyone else find Damon completely out of place in that character?).
From that point, it went better. A lot better. And since I didn't have to endure the unit movements, I got drawn into the game and stopped taking notes. Don't do this at home.
The options are still off, so I advise turning them back on.
T10.
Set espionage at 100% on Ghandi. This way we can steal from him next turn - airships is what I have in mind, but corporations could also be good. I took a bunch of pictures to explain the rest of the situation:
That's our 2-time landing sequence. More boats incoming every turn but we should focus on military at this point IMO. Once we capture a coastal city, they're done for.
We have 1 combat settler and 2 spies in the making. More spies and more cannons would be good, from low-XP cities, whereas I'd push more cavs out of Cretinburg.
Good call.
Snapshot of our global economy: I spent all our treasury on unit upgrades. CR3 rifles agains LB's will annihilate India.
Notice how low our GPP are, this is because we're maxing out food here and there. GIF has a good specialist count BUT it's got sloppy pollution in it so it's due for a couple spy buildings. There's a bunch of specialists to be gained from growths when we start working the whole terrain we own.
This is half-irrelevant for short-term planning, but it shows that while the Zulus seem to have a good grip on their English war, despite a smaller empire, they're getting crushed by ressource shortage, WW and emancipation. The longer this war lasts, the weaker England will be, unless the tables turn. I'd feed Zulus to military parity with England.
