Spork or Foon?

On this day (11 August) a patent for the spork (or foon) was issued to the Van Brode Milling Company in 1970. Truly a milestone to be commemorated.
The Question: What do you call the thing? A Spork or Foon? Or Runcible Spoon (c.f. Edward Lear!)?
(Personally I prefer foon, because it's less used.)

This was the center of a huge argument at school last year. Pretty sad, but it lasted a week and wasted plenty of learning time. Its a spork, plain and simple.

If you want to call it a fo-oon or a fopoon, I might see where you are coming from, but foon just does not get enough of the fork in there...not to mention, it has always been spork to me.
