I don't have time to read through the 11 pages here, and I'm a little confused. Is this mod playable, or are people just contributing units, etc.?
 
It's playable and itcan be found in the first post. We're just working to expand the work already done...
 
Ok, I fixed the Bajoran Interceptor, but I still need a nice death scene. Does anyone know how to make a nice explosion?

PS: it's suddenly so quiet in this thread... is everyone on holidays? :D
 
No not on holiday... Guess I hadn't logged in the last time i viewed a new message. I never received another e-mail till today after I logged in to look at another thread.

Anywho... I don't know how your model programs work, but OpenFX can do a fairly decent death. The borg units are not as cool as the others that have been done with OpenFX. Most of the current StarTrek units have been made using OpenFX. I think yours will be the first animated in a different program. There are a couple of tutorial threads on OpenFX and the links to the FREE program download.

Someone has got to remind me to do that attack sequence for the borg diamond.

Maybe I'll leave it "alone" and let the enemy ship shoot it up (show actual damage) and then repair it real quick. I'll keep that up until the enemy ship overheats and blows up without firing a single shot.... :) Sound like a plan????????
 
In Voyager the Diamond shoots a series of small yellow torpedo's from the center, but I must say your attack is so much cooler! :D
I'll have a look at what explosions Studio 3d has to offer...
 
Well, holidays, yes that it is.

Now that I can safely say to be fully healed again :cool: , I must admit, that my plane takes off on Monday, and I will be off for vacation for the next two weeks thereafter.

I will be back to the task, no worries :scan:
 
I'm sure they will be very useful for this mod... :D
If you still need some meshes of spaceships for your mod, I can send you some Trek meshes. Just tell me what you need and I'll see what I can do... :)
 
You know laDav, I really I have no idea what you said... :) But if it is about encouraging each others mods, I'm all for it. If you need something for yours, just tell me and I'll see what I can do...

I made a updated unit list for the mod. Now it includes the Solar Sailer that was finished yesterday by Orthanc and some units I'm working on myself.

Any suggestions, missing or redundant units? Let me know...

BTW: in the zip is an Excel file and an MHT file, the last can normally be opened with Internet Explorer.

I can't seem to get it to work.

I downloaded the zip on the front page and copied the biq files into the maps directory of conquest (version 1.22), but it complains about a line missing in some text file.

Is there something more i have to do? Or is the mod not playable yet? (PS. I am new to mods)
 
In what folder did you put it exactly? It should be in the scenario's folder, something like:

c:/... civIII/conquests/scenario's (not entirely sure, I dun have it on this computer)
 
C:\Program Files\Atari\Civilization III\Conquests\Scenarios
