Okay, I have decided that this PBeM is not for me. I am swamped by the number of things I am trying to keep track of and since I have just jumped in I find it difficult to know where the hotspotts are, which planets I shouuld be heading for, which I need to protect etc. I will continue to play my turns until either we can find a replacement or you decide to lay this great PBeM to rest.

Rebel fleet engaged by a lone escort carrier near, um, well it's nearish the planet beginning with T. Took out a few Impererators etc. but couldn't get the enemy carrier.

Why not? You still had more production than the both of them combined, and by a wide margin, so you would have a whole bunch of ISD2's and he'd have a few eclipses. Even match.

Of course, that's without Hoth and the entire Corellian sector being bribed.

If I didn't cut my research rate down to raise money for the bribing, I would have a whole fleet of Eclipses by now. On several turns, I had a 'new discovery every 140 turns'.

With enough terraformers and improvements you can be quite a powerhouse. I'm planning on surpassing Koby's progress here in the other game...

Yeah, the Empire has the good production. Most cities can surpass 40 or 50 production. Sluis Van and Fondor can surpass 70...

That's different. I set out to see if I could win without attacking any of the AI planets. Otherwise, it would be child's play to surpass my progress.
