If its called a starfighter it has fighting potential. Otherwise it would be called a starship.

ok this is an answer to posts like 2 pages back, so sorry if its a little late

the empire did have an advanced version of the TX-130 called the TX-131 :lol: but it looks exactly the same, so we can reuse graphics here.

@odin- my old version of winace was acting somewhat screwy, so i downloaded the latest version off of their site . . . try that and see if it works.
 
Considering Christmas is less than a week away and we still need to finish nearly 50 units the answer to that question is no.

Really the main things we need to do is Units, Unit Stats, the Tech Tree, and nail down the Improvements & Wonders before we can release the Beta version.

The reason there's been no posts in like a month is because most of the discussion has swung over to the Unit Requests & Preview thread.

I've created a new tech tree that tries to encompass everyone's ideas. Recently, though, jobiwan and sheepy had a cool idea; an entire era before blasters, droids, repulsorlift and hyperspace. The other three eras would be regular, though, so I based my unit tree on that. The idea is that you would still have jedi and a few other memeorable things, but an era to have the Ewoks and other basic units to actually have a chance fighting. You would have "slug" ships and "slug" weapons for the first era, before hyperspace. We only had 3 units per line for most lines, anyways. If we do take this route, here are some good suggesions:

Slug Fighter - We could use the missile attack only.
Slug Transport - I think this would work really well

Yeah... I posted this in the Unit Request thread, and we kind of got off topic, so I'll repost it here, since it's more politically correct here, ;). It also talks about beam tubes, which are explained here: (they come after the basic, slug weapon Basic Warrior Civ3 marine)

I also had an idea where every civ had a UU, because it would solve a lot of problems (I thought of it when I was trying to figure out whether we would use the Hailfire Droid or Homing Spider Droid as a mech for Seperatists.) All of them come in era 4.
 
Just a question, I was playing Star Wars Battlefront 2.
Are you going to have those really annoying Spider Walkers?
Acklays?
Or any of the annoying things I don't like?
 
@odin - huh, did you say something? :p

If you are talking about the ancient style units, I don't care if we have those as long as thery're all in the 1st era.

If you're talking about the UUs, I think I know what you mean with the Homing Spider Droid and the Hailfire. It's kinda like in my unit tree where I gave Rebels the B-Wing and the Republic the Jedi Starfighter because there was no other place to stick them in. BTW, aren't almost all of the units in the mod UUs? ;)


@AlCosta - Which kind of spider walker? There is the Homing Spider Droid and Dwarf Spider Droid, which are going to be in the mod. Then there is that 6-legged Crab Droid and the Acklay which as of now isn't going to be in the mod.
 
In Battlefront 2, its called the Spider Walker. Its probably the 6-Legged Droid.
I have an idea for the Acklay, make it and other creatures like that barbarians. The Acklay, if used, should have a low defense but a very high attack.
