STARCRAFT????Starcraft AI sucks, Brood war AI improvement is way above but they still cant beat me even 7v1!NO MEDIC????Barracks units are simply useless craps!Without Devourer u sent full battleship to zerg they will have no chance to survive even with scourge.Protoss Dark Templar are effective against newbies and some inter only.Practically Zealots are better than DT in mess number.So what i am talking about is BUY BROOD WAR.Gengkish whats ur bnet record?I got lots of accounts my best account is 700 or 800 something wins.Do all of ya play lost temple.
Do all of u have tried to build mess mutalisk in about 7 mins?
Haha civ players playing starcraft....Do we apply civ strategies s to starcraft too ha ha

WTH, calm down. Starcraft isn't even about its AI, but you play with OTHER people. Ever heard of 4v4 BGH? Who the hell would buy Starcraft just to play single player? It's not like Civ3, where the AI counts ALOT, and it still sucks.
 
But starcraft AI is just way too dumb,many ppl still play with AI during multiplayer.Starcraft AI is really way below average ,anyway if AI issues are not important ,how bout the gameplay ,Broodwar gameplay is 10 x much better.
 
I thought BroodWar was just an add-on to Starcraft, why is everything treating it as a new game?!

Starcraft=Broodwar, to me they are one of the same game.

Broodwar is much funner cause the new units gave the game more tactics to play with.
 
The Starcraft AI BLOWS when it runs out of resources. I've killed 4 AI's now. They like stop moving. I wasn't doing great.....but I was holding my own. I drove the Protoss out of a resource filled spot. So I had three patches. Once all my resources were gone I took my 6 battlecruisers and attacked the Zerg to my south. They were tough and relentless. They destroyed my defensive line three times. Luckly I built it up each time before they could regroup....but anyway....I took my BC's and leveled their bases. Then I took then and leveled blue Terrians. They had like 5 mariens!! That's it!! Then I took out the green AI, and the purple Protoss are doing nothing. The Yellow Terrian seem to be moving about.....but they shouldn't be too tough., I managed to take the last source of minerals from the Green Terrian.

Anyway....back to it.

Were you playing Brood War or just StarCraft? Cuz the Brood War AI is VERY VERY powerful...
BTW, I prefer play the game with other humans :)
 
Looking forward to playing some other CFCers in SC/BW again. While I talk a lot of trash with CornMaster about SC I am only an ok player. I have had my ass handed to me many times before on Battle.net. When i get my fast connection back, let's get it on!
 
I never play on Bnet against unknown opponents. Either on Lan, or over the net but with dudes. Because pple on BNET are so obssessed with victory at any cost so they rush and rush. Where's the fun? SC has become a click and reflex fest, like Doom. No I'm not exagerating.
It's pitiful but they're so dumb... I don't care about marks. I play always for fun and if a MP game with my friends is less than 1 hour then it's bad :) We leave time to each other to develop.
Now if you belong to this category then I'd be glad and looking forward to hearing from you soon for an MP, PH...
 
oh well we should play togheter then :) I never rush except if my opponent is building a second base...

I don't mind hour long games, shoot, I have layed one game for 3 hours...and it wasn't a more money map (like BGH where the mins and gas don't run out). I also enjoy 15 minute games. When I get my cable connection up, it's on!
 
Hmm, Starcraft... haven't played that in over 3 months, haven't played on Bnet for 5. Brood War is definatley better than Starcraft. It is interesting to me how few terran players there are, I am a devout Terran player! Just give me 10 BC, 10 Valkiries, 12 Wraiths, and some siege Tanks, Im set! Not enough Terran players, too many Protoss players. Maybe because Terran micromanagment is a pain in the arse.
