The rise of Dano Di Concona
Santiago, Thanks to help of France and the Argentien government the elections held been fair. There where many riots in the center of Santiago but they where soon been dissolved by the MP of Argentine.
Because of the anarchic situation in the country of Chile and because of the foreign opinion of the former government the amount of people that where going to vote was remarkebly high. A stunning 67% of the Chileans that are allowed to vote came to the elections.
Although it was not a surprise that the people would vote on a pro-american and a non-pro Argentinien party but the outcome of the elections even surprised the winner Dano Di Nardo, leader of the Partido Laborista Chile or PLC. The PLC got a stunning 59% of the votes, this party didn't even excist before the annexation of Argentine but Dano Di Nardo took the chance to improve the life of the Chileans and started the PLC.
The 6th of July will now go to book by the day that changed the situation of Chile extraordinary, not only the PLC won with a supremacy but also the new President of Chile Dano Di Concona stood next to states enemy nr. 1 the president of Argentine. Dano Di Concona shaked his hands and thanked him for the help with the elections, because there wouldn't be any elections without there help. The president said that there is a very big scar that has to heal because of the war but he doesn't see any way why Argentine and Chile would be on state of war. Dano also thanked France for there help and hopes that they will help eachother more in the future.
Dano also states that the situation of America and Chile will be made better and he hopes a positive relationship with the Americans soon. He hopes also that America will help Chile with De-Annexate Chile from Argentine and that they will help Chile to rebuild her army. He also hopes that the State of Chile may buy the Coppermines in the north because that will be the "vain" of the economy of Chile.
As last words President Dano Di Nardo asks the world to help Chile with rebuilding her economy and putting Chile back on the map again.

Overview Every year the Emperor of the French Empire must address a joint sitting of both Houses of the French Parliament to outline what has happened and the direction in which we shall go. As the French Empire is the second largest behind Britian in size this means that France has lots to say.

The year of 1900 has been a great one for the Greater French Empire and the continued magnificance of the Imperial Government in Paris. Our economy has never been greater, and the Emperor Napoleon IV has seen to set us on the path of imperial expansion.
Our war with Spain goes greatly. The Basques and Cantolinese have revolted and will become faithful allies to the French throne. The Spainish remnants in Africa have been absorbed along with the strategic islands of the Azores. Preperations are being made on the Pyrenees frontier to replace the King of Spain with someone more competent. We will also hold new elections in the Spainish Kingdom and ensure that their constituion which preaches liberty, fraternity and glory and thus should be preserved.
Other developments are pleasing. Our great American brothers, the United States of America have continued to make strides towards the goal of a secure peoples in the new world. Indeed sooner or later the United States of America will be a great power and we shall open our arms to our historical friends.
The Empire of Japan negotitated and brought the French colony of Indochina. Now the reason for this was Indochina while strategic was not profitable and due to the new arangement with the Japanese, France and Japan work side by side, equal and strong!
Relations with the Russian Empire has continued to strengthen and with the a state visit by Tsar Alexander II expected to the Imperial capital of Paris, our relations look set in a most friendly fashion.
Even relations with the Greater German Reich have begun to thaw out as diplomats from the German Foreign Ministry and the Imperial Government continue to find solutions for the grieveneces we both have against each other.
Unfortuantley I must leave foreign relations on a sour note. The United Kingdom and its Empire ha sissued a stern note against the French and American liberation of the Spainish people. If Britain does side with these tyrants then we shall stand true and tall and defeat the hordes of the iron *****, Victoria!
To politcal matters the continued interference of French internal politics from the netowrk known as the Socialist Workers Solidarity Network or SWSN run by the individual known only as D.A.S. is a major concern. We shall ensure French politics are kept pure and without foreign interference of this most foul kind. We shall never bow down to the wishes of terrorists!

Oh, don't worry, I actually sorta forgot about you there. A most grievous mistake, it won't happen again. I promise!
Yes, indeed, it has a lot to answer for. For instance, the fact that the natives in the colonies are starving, dirty and poor. Yes-yes, in that huge empire of yours. And the same in Tunisia and Algeria, albeit they supposedly are parts of France. And don't get me started on the slums within France.
Your economy would have been much greater had you and the previous governments not thrown the money for internal development to colonial imperialism. Not to mention that you are even poorer then Britain (which, being the largest empire in the world, has even lower living standards; that might be saying something...).
And how SPLENDID! Imperial expansion! To hell with the social reforms and with the slums, lets gain MORE COLONIES!

Personally, on an almost completely unrelated note I think I have an idea loosely based on Strugatsky novels, about progressors. But I'll explain later.

You were trying to change your government as your nation is crumbling, and your president was being put in prison. Noone really wanted to be conscripted for a losing cause and a weak government.

Well thanks for revealing a part of ma orders I really like when mods do that to me.
If memory serves conscripts do not have a choice wheter they want to be conscripted and usually in other NESes when I say start conscription that means take a whole lot of people,give them a rifle and some ammo,order them to charge the enemy.

Cleric is right... conscription isnt voluntary, whether they like it or not he shoulda gotten some, albeit weak and low on moral, divisions for his defense.

if your government is crumbling, the leader was in jail, and the country were in a state of panic how could you even conscript anyone? I mean the conscripters would be overwhelmed by angry mobs of people... Also, using mild socialists propaganda isn't very helpful either, worker's paradise, and equaliy. those aren't very friendly towards conscription.
