The holy Venetian empire stepped closer to victory- there was no stopping it now- Venice had more troops, and more allies then the Sicilliots could ever hope- for Venice was loyal to the faith, and always had been, and such thigs did not go unnoticed, particuraley by the Republics northern neighbors, the Germans of the Holy Roman Empire, and Holy Knights of the Templar order...
The great social reforms, as they were known in Venice were almost complete, and rise of nationalistic fervour was great- it was expected huge amounts of recruits would flock to the stables eagerlly becomeing the pride of the Venetian army, mighty cataphracts, to ride down the Sicillians in their tracks- or even join the Templar Order, to replenish thier ranks, as the line between the templars grew thinner by the year- by the end of the Sicilliot war, the two were expected to one whole... it was an amazing thought- Venicies fortunes changing so drastically, where one they were being ejected from Crete and Sputh Itlay, faceing a much stronger foe, but a few tosses of the die had changed, and nw venice was the superior force- mighty, strong, confident- and completelly unwilling to give up thier advantage... after all, would the Romans of old have done it? Heavens no!
But eyes were cast on the east- their was an allince afoot to combat the Byzantines, a loyal Venetian ally- and while Venice could not spare the resoprces to go agaisnt the turkmen, eventually, perhaps, combating the (who exactley are they, Romanians or hungarians who are fighting the Byzantines in europe?), though first things first- the Sicillians must pay for thier sins agianst god, and crimes agiasnt venice
