Pheonicia was experiencing a period of transition. The old King Ribb-Addi had retired, feeling that he was becoming much too old to devote the time needed to the nation. He abdicated his throne to his dedicated son, Hiram.

Hiram walked through the gardens of Baalbeck. The city named for his family was a large and populous one, near its centre sat the Baalbeck Palace, and the Public Gardens.
Hiram frequently spent his free time in the gardens, admiring its beauty. He felt that the gardens added some colour and originality to the city, and indeed to his homelands. Although he dearly loved his nation, he felt that it was monotonous, endless plains stretching in all directions, the gardens added a little hill to an otherwise flat and boring landscape.
The centre piece of the Gardens was a small courtyard dotted with statues dedicated to various Gods, and the central fountain dedicated to the patron God of Baalbeck, and the recognised King of the Pheonician gods, the God of Serenity, Justice, and the Waters of the Earth, Saturnus.
Pondering the Gods, Hiram stood up from his perch on the side of the fountain, and left the Gardens. He returned to the Palace, and paid a visit to the Royal Library.

Hiram spent hours in the library reading up on the many Gods and Goddesses in the Pantheon. And he realised that many of the Gods very probably had little of no effect upon anything within the lives of the average Pheonician. He wondered if anyone knew of Iers or Odin outside of the Temple, or Librarian structures.

Update Turn XI (2850bc)

World Events:

The Californian troops make more progress in Xymrat, being the only one who made advances on Xymrat. Sheepsta is fully pushed out as they evacuate, and Siederia looses much land.

Jehudan front in Babylon slows down and even reverses some, as the generals lacked orders from the mainland and the Phoenicians send their armies to help. However, in support of their mother nation, Israel invades Babylon as well. Also, even worse for Babylonia, their neighbor Trindic also invades and captures the capital and much of their central lands.

Luneburg is liberated by Siederian forces, as the navies of Siederia were able to cut the Viking supply and reinforcement route.

The Vikings take total control of the Urban island, as their superior navy was able to block the island from Sheepsta delivering reinforcements.

Xymrat suffers even more economy and naval collapse as the allies invading them almost gain the seas.

Hiram after visiting the Temple of Mystra, the Supreme Goddess, paying his respects as ruler of Pheonicia to the Queen of the Gods, although Hiram was not a religious man he felt it was prudent to show some for of support for the major Gods in the Pantheon by visiting their Temples in Baalbeck. He did not want to be remembered as the King who angered the Gods and brought about the destruction of his nation from their wrath.
He did not believe in meaningless sacrifices in the name of the Gods as many people did, and as such outlawed Human sacrifice within Pheonicia, and made it well known that the Crown frowned upon Animal ritual sacrifice as well. Instead he believed that the best gift a person could offer to the Pantheon was Faith, Loyalty, and to live by the teachings of their chosen god. He made sure this belief was known to the people as well.

Hiram was a patron of the Arts. A lover of Music, Sculpture, Literature and other artistic forms of expression. He regularily held what he refered to his "Art Galas" where all forms of Artists, from Musicians to Authors, and Poets etc, were invited from all over Pheonicia to the Palace.
The Palace was opened to the public on these Gala days, and it gave Artists a chance to showcase their works. On these days he was immersed in what he loved.
Nationally he encouraged the growth of the Arts. He said that these recreational pursuits fostered a healthy environment for the growth of Culture.

From Babylon and New Trindic Republic

The peace map is acceptable, but may we suggest a new one for Pelopansia? This shows a small Anarchia, bordered by three nation so to keep good position on it. Siederia is shown to have kept it's colonies so to keep the balance of power in Pelopansia, and because the Anarchian living in that area like the Siederian control. New Trindic Republic has take some of Babylon's land, while Trindic took the most, but Pheonicia gains a city. Babylon is expanded northerwards, and the Trindic land in the north is given to Pheonicia since they got the most out of Babylon.

If the Anarchian nation is not acceptable, then we shoudl gift them some colonies in Nall, for their people to migrate too, as the land they have now (in the southern island of the world map, not on this map) is not suitable for a large population like they.

The set out terms were not negotiable. Siederia will not be allowed colonies on our continent. They do nothing but cause trouble.
Babylonia will not be allowed to rule any of Pheonicias rightful territories. Not after the insult the delivered upon us.
We will accept the above map with two revisions. One Anarchia is allowed rule of the Siederian colony show there. Two All of Pheonicias original territories are returned to it.
Otherwise we shall allow the Trindic Empire to gobble up Babylonia, and then no doubt the Trindic Republic also.
Pheonicia is all that stands between Babylonia/New Trindic Republic and the oblivion.
