Nikolaivich Pavlovna was every bit a working man; his repretoire including factory jobs in Germany, Gaul, and Rome. He said that he learned one thing during his tour of the proletariat; that "Capitalists are all alike."
Perhaps there was something of an aura about this man that made him display a sense of confidence; his brown eyes, though melancholy, produced a spear of conscience that went straight to the heart of any who spoke with him. Though he was stout, he stood a prominent 5' 10", and forced many of his opponents to look up at him while speaking. His hair was thinning and his face clean shaven, though little pouches of fat appeared under his eyes and his chin.
General Secretary Pavlovna had also been in a tour of the military, and this what had been the clincher in the Communist party elections after Comrade Vassily Bezuhov's passing. One rarely saw him out of his grey business suit, despite the fact that he largely dealt with the military and not the economic (his budget for the year reflected this).
Practicality demanded that Russia have a system that could move her troops quickly across the nation in a matter of days or hours. While Nikolaivich Pavlovna knew that his nation could not as easily afford a highway system such as that in Rome, he intended to construct a Trans-Siberian rail network that would extend from Leningrad to the Japanese port of Vladivostok, with extensions to Kiev, Tblisi, Archangelsk, Ulaan Bataar, and the Bering Strait.
Hardliner authoritarian and militarist extraordinaire, he sought to make sure that Russia stood above its neighbors, and reclaim the lands that were rightfully hers.
