The city of London, capital of the Angle-Saxonian empire, is burned to the ground as the raging Picts continue to invade and conquer the country. Without adequate leadership, or a professional army that has made a stand against the Picts, they run unchecked throughout Angleland. Meanwhile, finally a professional Angle-Saxonian army arises in Ireland to invade the Picts here, inflicting huge damage upon the Pict colony, and almost fully occupying it as the Pict forces are somewhere else.
The Novgorad marketplace, lined with statues of the great Kings
The first wonder of the world is built in Novgorad, a huge marketplace that spurs the whole distance of the central forum in the capital. The marketplace has begun to generate large amounts of capitol for the city, its populace, and the nation as a whole of Novgorod. This has thrown the nation into a trading frenzy, extending its trading abilities across all of the plains and even into Europe. Meanwhile, the eastern frontier gets all the more dangerous when raiding barbarians intrude upon the private villages here, looting and stealing from the inhabitants.
The Hittites are defeated once again in another major battle, fully depleting their resources to carry on in the war. The Assyrians and Canaanites advance ferociously, usually destroying everything in their path. They reach the city of the empire, and both armies charged in at once. The city fell, and the Assyrians and Canaanites fully occupy the nation of the Hittites. However, the city is still in dispute, being occupied by both the Assyrians and Canaanites. Minor skirmishes between the two have heightened tensions between the two sides.
Athenian forces continue to lay siege to the city of Sparta, waiting for the day that the food supply runs dry. The day finally came, months after the beginning of the siege, and the Spartans had to fight. However, instead of mounting a last-chance attack outside the city, the Spartans opened the doors and allowed the Athenians come in, waging a house-to-house battle that claiming many Athenian lives, and put the Athenian chariots and spearmen out of service. The Athenians finally overcame the city though, burning it down to the ground when they were finished.
African nomads, having migrated all throughout the African plains for centuries, make their way upon the Nile where they are met with huge opposition by the Egyptian people and army. Forced into slavery, the nomads fueled Egyptian slave markets for years, being second in value only to the Nubians. However, forging their own identity, the nomads freed themselves and migrated east into the Sinai, and finally into the Arabian desert where they settled down and created to Saracen Empire.
From the small jungles and grasslands of a tiny island emerge a people who are well on their way to becoming dominate power of the region. The Sinhalese grow to an extraordinary size when united with the tribes of the island, and through mostly war and bloodshed, the Sinhalese conquer and name the island Sinhala.
The corrupt Chinese dynasty of Amirsan finally falls in a bloody revolt by the peasants. In his place, they install emperor Alesuab, who once was a peasant himself. The first thing the new emperor does is not increase the army or collect taxes. No, he establishes temples throughout his nation that educate even the poorest child. This form of free education is unheard of, and while it is costing the emperor most of his treasury, it is beginning to give some sort of education to the Chinese people. The Chinese are the most intelligent people in the world, and by being so figure out the way to extract iron ore and construct iron tools, thus the iron age in China begins.
The Hanseatics begin to create independent farms and industry in their Swedish colony, making it less dependent on trade with the mainland to survive. This plan has established a system of nobility and serfs in the colony, and has also given the ability for the creation of independent armies that now regularly fight amongst each other and the main Hanseatic army that is stationed there.
While the Takirians rushed to war with Rome in the south, a major Takirian immigration to the city of Vurucin has begun, being the first Takirian trading city along the Mediterranean. The Romans who were already living here were either killed or displaced, creating much tension among the Romans still remaining and the Takirian families who have moved here. Nevertheless the city was established, wooden walls built, and life begins for the small city of Vurucin.
The fighting continues in the Itallian peninsula, with the Takirians pushing as far south as the highlands north of Rome. Here the Takirians are faced with nearly the full force of the Roman legions, and are finally held to a stop as the casualties mount on both sides. However, with the new arrival of Massilian soldiers, the war looks hopeless for the Romans. The islands of Sicily, Corsica and Sardinia fall to the Carthaginians and Massilians, while the rest of southern Itallia is conquered by a sneak attack from Salento. All that remains, and all that the Romans fight for, is the city of Rome itself.
The Bulgars meet with the Macedonian invasion force finally, and begin to halt their expansion. Meeting with nearly equal numbers, the Macedonians are at the disadvantage by fighting on foreign turf, and relying on supply lines. They are pushed back, and the Bulgars fight even harder.
The Minoans make a chance landing near their old colony. The landing itself was hard as the galleys fight for the shore. When they made landfall, the Minoans had to constantly fight for every step against a fortified Cypriot army who was not about to give up a colony without a fight. However, due to numerical superiority, the Minoans push the Cypriots back. During the next night, Cypriot Egyptian Assassins snuck into the camp, unnoticed by the guards. In the dead of night, four generals woke up to a slit throat. The next morning, there was chaos as the Cypriot army rushed the camp and the Minoans had no commander. Not knowing what to do, the Minoans rushed to the sea and were evacuated.
As the slaughter of Mekong soldiers in the north against a fortified Siamese defense, an army of mostly archers sweeps from the south to invade the unprotected southern Mekong border.
