stJNESX: From Bad to Good

to Rome:
Enemies. You fought a brave and honorable battle. But still you have lost to the might of 4 armies. We now request that Rome shall surrender to it's enemies and annex it's lands to New Taikir. You shal be warmly welcomed into the country and Romans shall be welcomed in all of our lands. Please do not make this war end with the utter destruction of Roman people. Join into New Taikir as part of our people.
Also we wish you to know, we do not plan on attacking your armies but only sieging Rome. If Rome will surrender peacfully than it's people will stay free, but if one Takirian will die in battle than the Roman people will be count as enemies, and measures will be taken against them.
Your colony in the Adriatic will become Salento propperty.

Hmm... my economy fell, my culture did not change, my roads were not built, and my wonder advanced one turn.
What happened here?

From Akkadia (secret)

But of course. We also look forward to one day creating a Middle Eastern Confederation which would be a political unit. Would you consider this (Jason would need to be consulted for this but I think we could make it work, kinda like the Dual Monarchy system of Austria-Hungary)

Jason who is this new nation that has just magically appeared to the south of me.

@Sheep: It´s the Saracen Empire.

African nomads, having migrated all throughout the African plains for centuries, make their way upon the Nile where they are met with huge opposition by the Egyptian people and army. Forced into slavery, the nomads fueled Egyptian slave markets for years, being second in value only to the Nubians. However, forging their own identity, the nomads freed themselves and migrated east into the Sinai, and finally into the Arabian desert where they settled down and created to Saracen Empire.

We wish for good relations with your nation and offer you an alliance and a trading pact to strengthen our two peoples in brotherhood.

From Assyria

We fought for the city just as much as you did. Our men died for the city as well. And you claim that you have more right to it? No, you cannot buy Hatti. You must relinquish the full city to the Assyrian Empire.

To New Taikir
From Rome

We will not surrender. And we will not allow Takirian armies within the walls of Rome.

Hmm, it seems like I increased your confidence instead of culture. I'll fix that next update. And I clearly said on the first page that you cannot build roads until iron age.

From Saracen Empire

We will trade when we can cross the trecherous desert without being raided. And we are not brothers. (ooc: sheep, trade can only happen in Iron Age, remember).

Talking to me or tossi? Because I just put together what you two send me, all that appeared in the update was manifested by Herr Tossi.

Massilia

Diplomacy

To Rome

Do you not understand when you are defeated? You are one nation; Massilia, New Taikir, Carthage and Salento are four. Your navy is destroyed; your army is reduced to virtually nothing; your people cower behind the walls of your city. Surrender to the strength of our united armies or be crushed!

Orders

Continue our Wonder.
Blockade the Roman coastline using our navy, but withdraw half of our attacking force back to our lands.
Increase the size of our army and navy both.
Construct the city of Caralis on Sardinia.

Story

The campaign went well for the hardy Massilian troops -- Massilian and Taikiri forces had pushed nearly to the walls of Rome and Massilia had seized the islands of Sardinia and Corsica. Farther south, Salento and Carthage had also succeeded in defeating the rapidly-collapsing Rome.

The Queen, however, was uncomfortable with so many troops outside of her borders and, as the Taikiri forces seemed perfectly capable of laying seige to Rome by themselves, half of the Massilian forces in Rome were withdrawn to Massilian territory. Meanwhile, construction began of a great city, Caralis, on the previously-Rome island of Sardinia. Already, the war against Rome was paying dividends.

to masilia:
We wish to announce that all rest of italy (including Rome itself) shall come under taikir control, as we fought first and most... but we do ask for aid in taking the area. agreed?

To New Taikir

Certainly; we acknowledge that New Taikir has borne the brunt of this war.

Jason, do I still not have contact with anyone but the Hanseatic?

From: Cyprus
To: Minoa

It might be the best to end this war... As you can see our tactics are just superior to yours.

Jason, I know I can't build roads until Iron Age, but could we construct trails, footpaths, and the like?

Orders:
Produce 100 archers.
Use galleys to send spearmen and archers to the westernmost point of Africa. Leave when the weather is good. Be Careful of storms and the like.
Continue Wonder: Militarization (3/4)

Athenian orders
Farm + Irrigate the Spartan Peninsular = Grow Economy

Finish Wonder

Using my navy (1 galley) i will transport all my clubmen and chariots to troy. There they will expand in every direction

give 150 + 100 Archers spearmen to macedonia ... until their war is over

From: Canaan
To: Assyria

Neither can you buy it. Okay, another idea - lets burn down the city and move its populations farther into our territory, and keep the current borders? We will not leave it, as we have more rights to it.
