Update 9 - 1600 BCE
The Byzantine Emperor Alexander I has succumbed to the Slavic demands for autonomy. The Slavic Senate has immediately upon coming into session issued a note of gratitute to the Emperor. The Slavs seem a bit more satisfied now.
Unfortunately, now the aristocrats of the provinces of Greece, Macedonia, and Northern Thrace are all demanding their own assemblies. Only Southern Thrace, which contains the imperial capital, and Anatolia are willing to submit completely to the Emperor.
If the Emperor does not agree, the provinces may revolt, although Macedonia is the least risky, since its capital Leopolis was founded in honor of Byzantium and thus is more imperial-oriented.
Hearing of the success of Byzantine Slavs, the Slavs under Dacian rule are also demanding autonomy. However, Dacia's Slavs are much angrier, because the Dacians have been much more oppressive. There was never any plan of cultural or educational enrichment as there was under the Byzantines. Because of this, the South Slavs and West Slavs are openly revolting against Dacian domination. In the south, the "Serbs" want total independence. In the northwest, the "East Slovaks" are revolting with the purpose of joining Slovakia, hence the self-description as "East" Slovaks. In the central-north and northeast are "Galicians", also seeking independence but apparently willing to compromise with autonomous status and a legislative system such as that established in the Byzantine province of Bosnia for the Slavs there in addition to an imperial legislature such as that being demanded by the non-Slavic aristocrats of the Byzantine Empire.
The fact that half the Dacian army is composed of Slavic recruits (not all voluntary) does not help the Dacian Emperor.
In plague-ridden Babylon, statues to Baal and Marduk and other gods are ripped apart by new Zoroastrian converts. Luckily, the plague appears to be receding across Babylononia. But will it take one final large group of victims in its last bout?
In Israel, the plague also begins to dissipate. Unlike in Babylononia, the Israelites remain with their Judaic faith.
However, the plague has finally come into the Mameluke Kingdom in full force. Even some members of the imperial family have fallen victim to the disease. The streets of Cairo are filled with bloated corpses and the city reeks of the rotten bodies, much like the streets of Babylon and Jerusalem for years earlier.

Taking advantage of Israelite and Babylonian weakness on account of the plague, Arab tribes non-aligned with Yemen have invaded southern Israel and Babylononia. The sheer numbers of the Arab warriors have overwhelmed the Israelite and Babylonian border defenses.

The Malagasy Army has swarmed over the Beira troops. Better organization, experience, and the boost in morale after the capture of the city of Beira have given a huge advantage on top of the obvious numeric advantage for the Malagasy over the Beiralanders. All of Beiraland has been taken, and now it's just time for the leaders of the Beira High Council to be taken to the imperial capital to stand trial for their and their predecessors' crimes against the Emperor.

The Australian Commonwealth has established another off-mainland trading outpost, this time on the Northern Maori Island. As was the case with Papua, the Australians have taught the local Maoris the tenets of their democratic government, and within no time, the Maoris elected their own Senate to establish the Maori Commonwealth, allied to the Australian Commonwealth. Almost immediately, the Maoris sent expeditions to the Southern Maori Island and convinced the Southerners to join their Commonwealth as well.
Spread of democratic propaganda by the Australian Commonwealth within the Perthian Empire has made some of the Perthian wealthy reconsider total unconditional allegiance to their Emperor. Few of these quasi-democrats, however, advocate union with the Australian Commonwealth.
A peace treaty has ended the Tatar War, and the two Khans have withdrawn forces from their common border. However, they have done nothing to prevent rogue bands and mercenaries from massacring villagers nevertheless. Technically, then, the war continues.

In Portuguese Morocco, in Tangiers, attacks on vacationing Portuguese aristocrats have become more commonplace. Not even the city's European governor was spared the anger of rowdy Berber bandits.
Further south, the city of Fez has been built by the Berbers. Though within the borders of the Portuguese colony, there is no garrison there, nor is there a Lisbon-appointed Governor present. Already the city is a haven for anti-Portuguese Berbers and several Berber worship sites exist. Could this be an attempt at breakaway by disgruntled Berbers?
A top member of the Clan Tribunal of Eire has abolished the council that has ruled Eire through the beginning of civilization, acquisition of Scotland, conquest of London, and colonization of Normandy. Faolan has declared himself to be the absolute master of Eire. None of the Clans ruling Normandy and England are happy about this change, as it means the loss of their own influence in government. They have even refused to send their annual taxes to Dublin. The construction of the Inter-Isle Project has also been delayed purposely by the dissatisfied. There has been no withdrawal from the Empire of Eire, though, and technically there is no open revolt.

The Illini Army has attacked the Iroquois nation of Ontario. All of the Michigan has been seized because of the surprise-attack. Many Ontario villages have been burned to the ground, many of these with their population - man, woman, and child - herded into the villages and burnt to death with the huts and shacks.
However, the eastward invasion has left the western border of Illinois somewhat less-defended. The Sioux have taken advantage of this opportunity and invaded and occupied the Illini territory west of the Mississippi.

A previously-unknown people has appeared near the borders of Kiev and Muscovy. Living along, and west of, the northern Volga, they call themselves Bulgars.
Another people, these between Astrakhan and Crimea, have also been discovered by explorers. These call themselves Magyars.
The origins of the Bulgars and Magyars are unknown. It is rumored that they are either advance parties for, or two groups of displaced refugees from, a large invasion force from the East. But who could this large invasion force be? And how could it possibly stand up against the vast armies of the Slavic and Armenian countries?
Afghanistan has begun to fall apart into two - Afghanistan in the west and Pakistan in the east. The reason for this rift is the religious difference. In the eastern provinces, Yuhah continues to hold sway, but the western provinces have resisted conversion vehemently. The constant bickering between the western and eastern members of the Tribal Council have paralyzed Afghani government.
Byzantium and Dublin blossom into centerpieces of learning in Europe. Byzantine and Irish scholars have mastered the new technologies and methods of the Iron Age. Their respective discoveries have been divulged to nearby France, Belgium, Norway, and Dacia, Georgia, and Dalmatia.
The same can be said for the capital of Malagasy, Toliara. There, too, the Iron Age comes into knowledge. Hopefully, the new Iron weapons will be useful against Zulus. Another African country that boasts knowledge of the new technologies is Ethiopia.
In North America, the dawn of the Iron Age appears for the Aztecs.
In eastern Asia and Australia, Iron Age knowledge spreads to Papua, Australia, Perth, Beijing, Korea, and Shanghai.
BYZANTIUM (BYZANTIUM), DUBLIN (EIRE), and TOLIARA (MALAGASY) become Centers of Education. Neither of them lose an education level for the Bronze-to-Iron Age upgrade. (basically, they get +1 Education level each, which cancels out the Age upgrade decrease)
