Aratra is a belief that has been with the Kalar since earlier than they began recording history. Its origins are unknown, and the religion's existence doesn't require that knowledge anyway.
Followers of the religion do not meet at regularly scheduled congregations. When an event in a person's life takes place, he will bring it to the Tursan, the recorder. The Tursan will record a benificial act or a piece of good fortune with an engraving on the Ara (good) stone, or a harmful act or misfortune on the Traha (bad) stone. Ara must be more powerful than Traha, or disasters will befall all, particularly those whose acts are engraved on the Traha stone.
The religion of Aratra is all pervasive in Kalari culture. And as contact with other cultures increases, it is likely to become part of many more before long.
