OOC: Darn, I was hoping for the top of the page for this speech. Ah well.
Men of the Shaitae! Here you stand, gathered on this field, lying in wait for the approaching enemy. They come from the south, they come with a fury unknown to civilized men.
They are likely stronger than us in numbers. We have only three thousand on this field today. But I tell you now, what I know. We can defeat them. Each of our men is worth ten of theirs. We have long trained, we are the greatest warriors that have walked the face of the earth, and we have the fury of the gods behind us!
So here we stand, three thousand, and we can defeat thirty thousand of them! They will not have that kind of army to throw at us, needless to say, thus, we need not fear losing.
Yet at the same time, guard your feelings of bravery, of winning. If you are overconfident, then they can defeat us, but only then. If you maintain your calm, touch your inner self, and let the spirits of the war god walk within you, then you shall prevail.
So men of the hills, men of the plains, men of the river! Here we stand, men of many places, but all men of one nation. We are the men of the Shaitae, and here we stand! We are men of the Shaitae, and here we win, or die!
For Shaitae! For the people! For the gods!
probably somewhat dramaticized speech of the Ninth Geishmal Gurishami Eliji to his men on the eve of the battle with Nandi forces.
