IT 1 Update 2
590 - 580 BC
Domestic Update
The American Continents are not developing economically, although quite a few millitant changes have occured.
The Valencians have founded the city of Barcelon [1]. It's position can become rather lucrative, if the surronding area is controleld by Valencia as well, and those Gauls cleared out.. as they really hamper trade..
The Sicilans begin to heavily invest in thier internal economic affairs, farming, mercantile buissness, etc. It helps them get a significant boost, although trading will be difficult, as the Valencians control all markets as far East Illyria.
(+1 Spend point for Sicily)
The Calabrians open up thier ports, much like the Sicilans have recently. Thier capital, Sybaris, has grown in size and such, but with the Valencians and Sicilians close by, they will have a tough time reaching a large trade empire. They have began trading in earnest with Athens-Sparta and Thebes, although there isn't much they can offer them at the moment..
With the Tyrian War over (see Milltary Events) they Zylians are once again at peace. The Tyrians quickly surrendered, and have embraced Zyle out of necessity. Over time, Tyre will just become a page in history, as the last of thier culture fades away... but for now, it is here to stay.
(+Cultural Large Minority)
Millitary Update
The Singodians launch a suprise attack on Copan. Although Copan is a much larger, more populous state, the Singodians had a surprise advantage. A small force of Singodian regulars managed to take Copan itself, before the Copanecs could make a serious resistance. The Singodians have consolidated thier gains, and hace the Copanec capital in thier hands as a bargaining chip. Farmers and such from aurond have been called to defend Copan from a slave-tribe's rebellion.

The Valencians counqered more Gaulish territory, although the Gauls are rather whipped by now. But they are getting more brave, those Valencians. Their large navy speeds toward Sardinia, and lands in the capital harbor. Before the Sardinians knew what hit them, most things of importance in thier capitol had been looted, or destroyed! Many Sardinian ships were set on fire in the docks, although a few Valencian ships were too sluggish in the escape, and thier sailors tortured...
It was offical, Valencia wanted war. But Valencia had thought of this, and had stationed men in the old Gaulish lands in thier North, which bordered Sardinian land. The Sardinians took small gains, but are now evenly matched, and without naval support, will have to think of something to keep theese gains.

The Nubians were outnumbered quite a bit, but thier superior training helped them win a smashing victory. The city was taken, with relatively small casaulties for the Nubians. The Eurians however, have lost alot of thier army, and it seems that Upper Egypt is now open for the Nubians to take... or is it?

"Pescara, why have you been dealt such a bad card by the gods?"
- Commanding General, 581 BC, at begining of siege of Pescara
The Romans and Pescarans had always just lived in harmony, it seemed. They were bordering Italic states, each vying for power on the boot of Italy. Pescara was growing in strenght faster than Rome. Rome knew this, and secured an alliance with Ravenna. This woud work, it seems. But, out of nowhere, at 590 BC, the Pescarans attack and destroyed the Ravennans in a few quick battles. The Romans knew, the Pescarans would keep getting stronger. They had to act now, and the Pescarans had dealt a below-the-belt blow, destroying thier ally.
The Romans sent envoys to all Italic states besides Pescara. The Calabrians pondered the Roman alliance, and quickly accepted, for it would be very profitable for them, and Pescara had not come to them with an alliance, so Rome was better than nothing it seems.
The Romans readied thier army, strong in numbers and training. They marched all the way to Pescara. The Pescaran army gathered outside its capital. The forces were evenly matched. Fierce fighting for days ensued, until the Pescarans had to divide thier forces. The Calabrians invaded! The Calabrians poured over the southern border, and had captured Raventicum. The Pescarans had to retreat inside Pescara. The city is now under siege. The Romans have encircled the city, and will starve it out it seems. In the South, the Calabrians have grinded to a halt ,as the levies and parts of the Pescaran army stop it from advancing. The Romans and the Calabrians have made great gains, can they hold onto them?
