stMjMNES3:Another Go

Rome would like to inquire about the neutrality of the Italian states to my south. Will they stay nuetral in the war against Pescara if they will not assist me?

Well, seeing as how they have given up thier position so freely...the Calabrians better think twice, or they might have problems on thier southern flank. There would be plenty of nations who would not mind taking a bit of Calabria for themselves, a nice little mid Mediterranean base.

Hmmm...I would like to claim Calabria please. La Republicca di Calabria shall find new life!

The Lost Scrolls of Nubia
Prologue

Many are unsure about the Nubians. Some say they were brought down from the heavens to seek revenge for the Egyptian gods, while more accurate accounts state that the Nubians had arrived in Eygpt as a nomadic peoples following the Nile north.

A small group of rough looking men gather around the fire. Their skin is fair but covered in scraggly beards and and long ragged hair. Their horses, hitched to a dying tree, are grazing peacfully behind. One man particularly stands out. He fits the standard description, yet his figure is strong and muscular, his fists large like anvils and his eyes as fierces as the sun. His name is Eanatum, leader of these nomads, son of Sekhmet, goddess of war. His people have put their trust in him to follow the omens sent to them. He has lead his people up the Nile for miles in search of the great kingdom of Eygpt. His destiny was given to him moons ago in an ethereal dream. The soothing voice of his mother slipped through his ears in a haze. "My son, it is time for you to know your path, your place on earth. For years you have been raised as a nomad unaware of what you and your people are to become. You will lead tribes together, united, to claim lands north. Such lands are bountiful for the Nile provides it all. You are to leave at once and gather tribes. Bring your closest friends and your best warriors. I will guide up the Great River my son. Now get on your way, daylight is breaking through the cloak of Horus." And with that, a new kingdom was about to be founded in the lands of the Nile.

How are the ITNES rules terrible? Much better than NES2 V rules IMO.
Quite the opposite IMO. Economy rules are way too strict and need more flexibility (sacrificing of eco.levels).

but it gives some weaker ones ability to do something drastic before they get destroyed. Now those small powers cannot cope with big ones even for that one turn, they will just get buried eventually.

Eh, I dont really get it why that wouldn't be possible in the current system  doesn't matter where you get your income, be it trade or else, you can still use it to buy those troops. Not sure if I even got your point here...

Hmm, I see your point. Could be easily fixed though if you'd make it punitive to use it excessively, like after sacrificing eco.level for 3 turns in a row the economy would continue to shrink on its own right etc.
But still, I think the old system was better, although the excessive use of eco.centers ruined the last nes using it.

Awesome rule.

Orders in!
