Of the Early Mon Kings

In the old times the Mon ruled Myanmar with a soft hand. They were very fine men who realy cared for their people. Their military was not to subdue the, but to protect them. For example when the first traders started to travel to dangerous paths through the unexplored jungles to the south of Myanmar the King sent soldiers to protect them from rouges and other dangers. Camps were built along the route were the traders could rest and refresh. Additionally these camps often housed small shrines were you could make a small sacrifce to ask the andestors to watch upon you. This way the Mon culture was spread far to the south.

But not only behind the borders of Myanmar did the Mon watch their children. In the great capital city of Thaton builders were allways constructing new shrines and temples and the Mon palace, which also housed the great barracks and training grounds, was allways a busy place as constructors and artists. But also the averange citizen took advantage of the working. Long alleys were built and open plazas with fountains and plants enjoyed the people.

This all was done by the early Mon Kings.

If I didn't already withdraw, I'm doing so now. I may rejoin later as an NPC, but I don't have time right now.

NK, it would seem that this NES is suffering from bad heritage already. Please make me wrong.
