With the Brits stopping skilled kiwis immigrating to Britain is it time we did the same to the Brits ?

It seems the politicians in Britain have a very short memory about just what the price NZ paid in helping the UK.

So that's a political reaction to the fact that the English resent being swamped by immigrants and having their youth and working class crowded out of jobs. Fair enough, but this is because of the EU and there is nothing the UK government can do about it. All the government can do is recoup some public brownie points with some gesturing on non-EUs, which means as a bi-product making life harder for NZers, AMericans and other people no-one cares about.

Suggestion? Make things easier for skilled UKers. This is a way to exploit this political situation and is actually, if you were interested, the best retalliation.

Trouble is the Britt's are cashed up migrants, for the most part, investing in your economy, they don't go all that way to drive taxis, so at the level of competition for jobs they are mostly competing with your skilled workers... who all seem to be going to OZ anyway, taking our jobs
