Pre- Turn check
Firstly I think this game is still very much winnable. The danger is of course Astronaut Gandhi but Publius plan of Staying sweet with Ceasar, brbing him into war with Gandhi and then Pillaging Gandhi to death fees sopt on. The major leverage we have over Ceasar at the moment is Steel so I resist his offered tade of Military Trad + gold for it but we may want to change that.
Now the only
I can see is this
We have stacks of captured workers so why are we buiulding one???
Early turns
Troops have been left on goto orders to bolster our army to take down Peter, this is OK in this situation as I would have sent more North as well. Despatch a few extra knights as we have some spare , they are good versus longbows and can take down a Barb city on the way just for the fun of it. But See later
Builds
As troops complete I do a round of Observatories to boost research as we dont really need more Grenadiers and keeping up with research to get to Machine Guns is more crucial as these are what we need to Pillage Gandhi and will hopefully be the extra bribe leverage we need to getting JC into war with Gandhi, do a luxury for luxury trade with JC as every bit helps and he doesnt like us enough to go to war with Gandhi yet.
Turn 4 Rifling comes in and we move onto Steam Power. Research was set at 60% at the start but have been doing Binary as it makes abig difference to us.
Turn 5 Peace with Cyrus and declare on Peter
Manage to pick off a few units on the way into his territory
Turn 7
Find Moscow is rather well defended!!
And this the see later, with troops on goto up towards Moscow I didn't check the composition of troops and now notice we have no siege weapons up there, so unfortunately the attack stalls while I despatch a couple of cannons.
End of Turn
Cannons on their way up North, there are more we can send if desired. Next player gets to take Peter down. Steam Power in 3 with Binary research and then onto MGs.
Key point will be when can we get JC to war Gandhi and be ready at the same time
