Straw Poll of Usual Game Settings

Fractal
Standard Size and Speed
No Tech Brokering
Aggressive AI

Sometimes add one or two civs to crowd things up a bit.

Monarch difficulty
Epic speed
Standard map

No Tech Brokering (always)
Choose Religions (always)
Permanent Alliances (sometimes)
Aggressive AI (sometimes)

Pangea (high sea level) or Archipelago (low sea level) maps. Sometimes Continents (normal sea level).

Forgot the following:

speed: epic

usual difficulty: emperor (I find I still swing this one without insane micro-management, which on huge maps is like filling in 10000 tax forms manually)

map type: I've played pretty much every map type, but right now I enjoy hemispheres the best. Before it was pangaea and fractual.

leaders: I like to experiment, and I can tell you that Toku sucks salty chocolate balls. Rome is hilariously overpowered, Persia might be as well and that with Inca you should always move your settler to settle your capital right next to another civ's capital. 2 cities, complete with captured workers, for the price of ~6 warriors! Sure beats putting everything on hold till you get your first worker :D

Toku's the man with the awesome army you can't afford.

Monarch
Marathon
Huge
18 Civs
Raging Barbs
Agg AI
No Goody Huts
Most often Great Plains (with the occassional Pangea or Archipelago)
I like to REX so Mehmet and Shaka are favorites, but I usually Random

And if I'm hungover, I order a pizza and coke.
