Stupid man sniffs powdered Wasabi

OMFG what an idiot...:crazyeye:

If he wasn't paid a LOT of money, words can't express that level of stupidity.

ROFLMBO- That was amazingly funny!

I saw about a minute of it, but it was hilarious:p

For the uninformed, what is wasabi?

Obviously I'm getting the impression from the video that it should not be inhaled :p

Just looked it up, since I didn't know, too. :p Apparently a very potent Japanese spice that, unlike other spices, affects the sinus cavities more than the throat, with a powerful flavor...

I think it's concentrated horseradish, or something.

The funniest part was near the end: "Is it worse than the pepper?" "Oh yeah!" Evidently he's a slow learner...

I have developed a reasonable tolerance for wasabi, and thus enjoy tricking newbies into eating more than they can handle, or young girls into eating those wasabi powder coated peanuts (by eating them myself with no change in facial expression). But no way I'm gonna do what this guy did.

I think the lesson is that the nose was not designed for snorting :nono:

once in chmistry class the class clown who was sitting next to me (this really short kid) put up a line of citric acid powder and snorted it like it was cocain. i swear to god his face went as red as a friggin tomatoe.

can someone compare the level of hotness wasabi is to another spice like tabasco

They can't be compared. Tabasco, chili, pepper, and other spices target your toungue. Wasabi does not. It attacks your sinuses instead. You feel a tingle that creeps up your nose, spreads through your forehead and finishes at your temples. Something like a snorted drug, minus the other effects and the addiction.

And that's when eaten. So imagine how much pain it would be to snort this stuff up your nose... :cringe:

Actually a good comparison in both taste and type of pungency would be between Wasabi and Coleman's English Mustard. They are very similar.

It did for me. Although most things don't for some reason.
