Hmmm. He doesn't like it when he can't build the biggest best boats he can think of. The last advisor who suggested that he research a non-Naval tech was tied to the bow of one of our galleys to face the dromons...

We're scientific and commercial. GL is scientific, Magellans is commercial. And of course, it make perfect sense. Magellan should have been Korean after all!
And yes, I believe the research path sounds correct.

I will be away from my computator for three and a half weeks as of tomorrow as I'm going back to the Motherland for a couple of weeks to see me old dear (in Caversham, -Oblivion-) and for a wedding in Portugal and to see some friends in Shanghai. I know, I know. What are you going to do without that obsessive compulsive boat building freak with the odd name. Well, judging by current speeds, we should be only two turns on from then...

I can't find any add/remove programs. Do you know any?

Add/Remove programs is usually under the control panel - Start -> Settings -> Control Panel -> Add/Remove Programs. You should be able to choose to uninstall the patch. The path may be slightly different under Windows XP. You will probably have to reinstall 1.15b afterwards. -Oblivion- had to do this for our other SG, so he could probably steer you to the correct path.

@uninstalling, its a bit awkward.
I went to Start --> control panel --> add and remove progs
Then i removed patch 1.22
Then it wouldn't start properly. So i uninstalled 1.15b too, then i downloaded it again, installed it and it worked.

1260: Frigates are oozing outta Korean Docks. Stupid/Stoned Drunk frigates attack us
1265: Mil.Trad --> Economics ( We have a lot of Markets, banks and harbours) Upgrade all our knights.
1270: Bombard and capture Rotterdam. Keep it because it has Bachs.
1275: Palace extension
1280: Rails going up on home continent
1285: Economics --> Nationalism
Start Smiths.
